Italian Restaurant in York Square minutes from the Sloane Square Underground. Outdoor terrace seating as well as a large comfortable indoor area. Music set quite load indoors made chatting more difficult than we would have liked. Lots of choices for drinks. Recommended

Manicomio is a very pleasant up-market Italian restaurant in a fine location. I am probably not the right person to write this review as I live in Norfolk and am constantly surprised by the prices restaurants charge in London. I booked a table for five and rather naively thought that the days of cover charges were over. Not so -... More

Fabulous little haven that serves a mean brunch in a fantastic location. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Very busy but was kept aware of good progress etc. Love this area.

Very busy but the staff were superb in accomodating us 4 adults and 2 children at short notice. Slight delay in service (but it was full) and the breakfast was great for all of us! A good choice of dishes for everyone. Would definitely recommend and would return again.

This is a lovely restaurant with a nice terrace on Duke of York square. The waiters are friendly and the food is good and well presented. The menu offers a wide choice and the prices are fair. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decor. Always worth a visit!

Had a lovely pleasure to go for dinner to that cosy Italian restaurant in Chelsea. The stuff was friendly, and took us to our table. Brought the menu and explained all the options. I've decided to go for 3 course meal, starting with a lovely pumpkin soup, followed by Cornish fillet of sea bream for main! It was delicious! I... More

We were a group of three couples who were made welcome and shown to our table at the time of our booking. The waiters were attentive without being over-bearing, and there was no sense of being hurried. Their service was pitched perfect. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked. Al fresco dining is available if the weather permits. The restaurant... More

We dined at Manicomio just after they had been shut for 10 days over the Christmas break so I think we caught them on a bad day, the Food was excellent but the service was severely lacking, we waited almost 15 minutes before my wife was forced to stop a waiter and ask for drinks. The restaurant was not busy... More

This place has a couple of menus, one of which is insanely expensive. But it's a great spot at lunch, in the sun, if you sit outside and order from the lunch menu The stone bass with wilted fennel got me hooked on fennel. The portion size was good and it was a pleasant dish The gnocchi has also converted... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
