I walk past the place where this restaurant used to operate every day. It has been closed for months and months - probably since early in 2016. Any recent reviews are pure fiction !

If one is after good authentic Burmese food, I would recommend Mandalay restaurant. The food is excellent, and likewise the service. My only criticism is that the portions are small.

Recently returned from a two week motorcycle adventure tour through Myanmar and really fancied trying this restaurant so was very disappointed to find it all closed up. It looks like the refurbishment mentioned in an earlier post is taking more than a few weeks. Who...More

The place is a dump, it probably hasn't been updated sine 1970. Outside toilets are dark, dirty and totally unacceptable. The food is ok but very small portions and not cheap either. It's a real shame, if only the owners cared a little more they...More

Hello, I do not think you have been to the restaurant. The restaurant has a very modern look and the toilets are very well lit. We have been in business for the last twenty two years and is one of the most popular and successful...More

I was quite excited to try the only Burmese restaurant on London, and have made a reservation in advance. But when I turned up (7 pm, Saturday 19 November), the place was closed. Nobody answered when I tried calling. Not cool.

Don't be put off by the rather depressing area or basic decor, this is a really nice place to eat. Warm, friendly staff and an interesting and varied menu offering well-cooked and delicious Burmese food. Really good value too. Have been a couple of times...More

I was there with a few friends. First time having Burmese ... we got some good guidance on menu favourites and feeling in the mood for something spicy they helped choose some mains - lamb curries and chicken. Food arrived in good time - but...More
