My wife picked the restaurant on the basis of the reviews on here. That was a mistake. The menu promised so much, especially at reasonable prices but what was served was quite astoundingly bad. It started with a tuna tartare and avocado 'foam' that was...More

Dear NormanMonkey, I’m so sorry you had a bad experience at The Lavender. Tuna Tartare and Octopus are our best sellers and usually we get loads of compliments for them, so not really sure what went wrong this time. I am unpleasantly surprised though that...More

This is incredible value for money! I don’t often do Italian restaurants and wrongly think of them as just pasta and pizza places - this place is so so different. Its gourmet food and the dishes were totally new to me, which doesn’t happen very...More

My partner and I had a Saturday lunch date at the Lavender. We opted for the bottomless lunch where you add £15 for unlimited alcohol (house red or white wine, mimosa, prosecco or bloody mary) with your meal. The house red is a delicous italian...More

I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. A group of 12 of us had visited this restaurant unexpectedly having been let down by a newly opened restaurant down the street. They were so accommodating and welcoming. The food was amazing - I was still thinking about...More

We had the five course tasting menu which was of really high quality for the price. The service was great and we are definitely going back to try their lunch menu!

The former Lavender Pub was brought by a group of Italian chefs and food loving entrepreneurs who have achieved their aim of transforming it into an Italian restaurant with character specialising in authentic food and wine from Italy. . The Lavender Wine Bar and Restaurant offers a relaxing dining experience away from the stress and speed of the city. We pride ourselves in offering you exceptional ingredients, simply cooked and second to none. The ingredients used in our kitchen are always fresh. We select our fish, seafood and meat from Billingsgate and Smithfield markets several times a week so the menu may slightly vary according to season and availability. The menu is short, seasonal and includes beautiful Seafood platters with tuna tartare and king prawns. Exeptional Organic linguine with king prawns, calamari, mussels and baby cherry tomatoes or Organic linguine with lobster and baby cherry tomatoes. We also re-interpreted some English dishes with an Italian twist - try our organic burger with Pecorino cheese... We do have a weekly Special board with new Italian dishes usually seasonal. All the Wines on our extensive list (over 40) are from small independent Italian producers and from different parts of Italy. We also have 4 draft beers/ciders and many other bottled ones and we serve Cocktails.
