I have visited the laughing gravy three times now and every time I have ordered the beef roast dinner. Meat is cooked to perfection and the gravy is delicious. The potatoes could be better however all other sides taste beautiful. Goes really well with the...More

Went to this restaurant today...food was great and the service really good. We had the scallop and crayfish scotch egg and the sea sea trout and mackerel for starters...both excellent. For mains we had the veal chop and the sea bass...again both of superb quality...More

The menu doesn't change often but the food is good and a bit different. The wines are reasonably priced - don't expect a lengthy list but what you get here is always good

I got a little lost while walking to the place from Old Vic but it is only just 5 minutes away if you cut across Webber Street (thanks to our server who gave us that tip after the meal). So it turned out to be...More

Where to start...well, the food is wonderful. I'd read the reviews and went in with fairly high hopes, but they managed to deliver. The scallop and crayfish Scotch egg is the best Scotch egg I've ever had, and one of the best starters in London....More

Went to dinner with a group of 6. We had reservations but it seemed like they really didn't have room for us at first. We eventually got our table. Service was a bit uneven, flowing between very attentive and being forgotten. The food was a...More

Arrived at Laughing Gravy around 20:50 on Saturday for desserts - restaurant closes at 22:30. We're received by bartender and advised that we wouldn't be able to have dinner. Informed him this was no problem, and we were only interested in dessert. He told us...More

Sorry about the lateness of this response, only just seen it. This place is without doubt a romantic restaurant. The staff is fairly unobtrusive and you can disappear into your own bubble very easily.
