Wow the food here is amazing. Also I would highly recommend their cocktail "waterloo sunset" - scrummy and presented perfectly. On top of that the staff were lovely too. Can't wait to go again!

Not a bad overall dining experience, but we were let down by slightly poor service - particularly relative to the price. Group of five. On ordering, we were informed that starters wouldn't be with us for 25-30 minutes due to 'the kitchen being small'. 25...More

Great little place for lunch, dinner or just a groovy cocktail! Food is wonderful and not too expensive. Solid wine list and the cocktails are fun and delicious. Try the Cherry Bourbon Sour! Friendly service too. Can't miss on this one. Cheers.

We came here purely because it was quite local to our hotel & the reviews were stellar. We were not disappointed! The service was low key but friendly & very unobtrusive. The decor is gastro-pub-ish but comfortable & smart but there are not that many...More

Dined here on spec without having previously researched and were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is attractive, light and airy - you don't feel squashed in, and the place has a nice feel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and service was efficient without being...More

Many thanks for taking such good care of us, we were a big family party and were slow. The service couldn't have been more patient and very unobtrusive. Fantastic food we all had three courses and all were delighted with their choices. Can't wait to...More

The food at the laughing gravy is truly special. Interesting takes on traditional dishes expertly cocked. I had the Scallop and Crayfish Scotch Egg and the Steamed Sole with Crab and Squid Dumplings. Both featured expertly balanced flavours and Sole was the thickest fillet of...More

Came here for an 18th and a 21st birthday, arrived early but were able to be seated & the service was faultless. The meals themselves were delicious with beautiful presentation & good sized portions- the venison wellington was to die for! Cocktails were also well...More

Sorry about the lateness of this response, only just seen it. This place is without doubt a romantic restaurant. The staff is fairly unobtrusive and you can disappear into your own bubble very easily.
