We are currently on a tour of the best restaurants in London and this was one venue at the top of our list. Having already dined at Chez Bruce we were expecting big things and La Trompette didn't disappoint. The service is superb, the decor tasteful and, more importantly, the lighting is not over bearing and reflects the relaxed ambience.... More

We visited La Trompette for lunch on Easter Monday and it was excellent from start to finish. Firstly, the ambience and service is attentive yet discrete, exactly how we like it. Secondly, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere without too much noise and the tables were decently spaced apart so you were not on top of other diners. There was... More

Was here with colleagues: excellent mushroom soup and good main course too. Service was correct and all in all a very good experience.

This was our second visit, both for special occasions, although there's no reason why one shouldn't come here just for the hell of it. Both have been first class. First, the only downside; we booked for 7pm, because that was the only time available, and were told we would have to be out by 9.15, but only when the resto... More

it's light and spacious with an outside area on a sunny day, perfect for lunch. the menu is imaginative without being fancy or fussy and the cooking makes you ask for a last piece of bread to soak up the final stain of sauce. the wine list is not cheap but full of interesting takes of classics and unusuals -... I have always kept to Central London for my restaurant experiences but decided on Chiswick due to my guest's location. I know he likes the best for his food so was slightly nervous when I booked La Trompette. It was a very hot Sunday night as we entered at 7.30. What a delight it was! A Yorkshire Rhubarb Gin as... I haven't been here for a long long time, so I was worried that perhaps it had lost some of its sparkle. I shouldn't have worried... the food and service were superb. Starter, main and desert were all delicious. A wonderful night out, and I left wanting to come back asap.

The food was exceptional, we had the tasting menu which was superb, really excellent food and so very tasty! Our only gripe was the service, where we often thought we had been forgotten and the waitress unable to explain the dish that had been ordered. If the service had been better I would have rated it 5 stars without a... More

Wow, what a find. Stunning food, brilliant carte des vines, excellent service, knowledgeable French m'd. What's not to like. Sour dough with lovely butter, superb crispy and marinated squid with black barley (?) and sumptuous sweet scallops to start. Then fab cod and the total star of the show, the best guinea fowl I have ever eaten. Anywhere in the... More

Description
La Trompette opened in 2001 and serves some of the best food in London but without the formality or prices associated with the capital’s top end establishments. We closed at the beginning of 2013 for a complete refurbishment, and have expanded to include a brand new kitchen, private dining and improved customer facilities. The new appearance has not changed the focus of the restaurant. The aim is as it always has been, to give all our guests the best possible dining experience from start to finish.
