I hadn’t been to Geales for 25 years. I won’t be back for another 25. I was invited by a friend who lives around the corner. I though ‘The Place must have improved in 25 years’ - I was wrong. My friend had prawn cocktail...More

Half my prawn starter was frozen, mains took an hour to arrive . Front of house management was not to the level expected, felt sorry for the waitress.

On our return to London, we had to come back here for the awesome fish and chips. Really good, and great presentation. The place itself is also warm, cozy and very inviting. The only complaint is the beer list. Wish they had some local beers...More

Cozy interior anice place. Cod fisj and chips is ok but fish is a little bit tasteless. Mushy peas could’ve been better. Risotto didn’t taste good at all - tasted too sour. Geale’s classic fish pie with salmon was good.

So a foodie mate of mine turns up in London from Los Angeles. And I take him to Geales. "So? A seafood restaurant?". "Well, yeah I guess so, but it's famous for it's fish'n'chips". He looked as if I'd asked him to eat ferret steaks....More

Geales has been London's most loved neighbourhood fish restaurant for over 70 years. Since 1939 this reputable restaurant has been a firm favorite with devoted locals and celebrities' alike. Geales offers a menu that retains the great British chip shop mentality... No frills, just fresh fish and fabulous service. The updated historic site provides a rustic yet chic local diner with a relaxed, nostalgic nod to the brand heritage.
