Don't miss this restaurant when visiting Borough Market. Wonderful food, if you like fish. Good service. We'll eat there again, no doubt.

Went here and as they take bookings as it was second choice to Brindisa The building is trendy, hip glass affair which gives it an urban feel, and makes it light and airy. However, it retains sound and becomes quite noisy with few people in there There's an outdoor patio heated dining area as well. The gluten free menu is... More

Really nice dinner. Trust the specialty of the day, but any fish grilled or steam will do. Worth a visit.

Fish! is very conveniently located near Borough Market. The quality of the seafood is indisputable, it is only a pity the place is quite noisy... We had the whole lemon sole - delicious, the flesh melts in the mouth - and the Chargrilled squid, chorizo, roast tomato, sourdough toast - good pairing of flavours although the toast looks a bit... I came here for lunch with a colleague, and paid just shy of £10 for a cod and chips. It's expensive, but I suppose being in a tourist hotspot, that's to be expected; and anyway, if the fish is good I'll soon forget about that... Well, the fish had barely any flavour at all, and it had a nasty mushy... More

Excited to try Fish! Seafood is my absolute favourite food but the combination of overlooked, poorly prepared food with inadequate service made for a disappointing meal. My starter was a "glass" of prawns with aioli. Aioli was overly salty but the real frustration was the poor prep of the prawns. The digestive tract had not been removed from a single... More

Fish choices excellent, food speedily prepared, beautifully tasty - but this restaurant is rather expensive (though maybe not for London...). Staff most welcoming and attentive, ambiance buzzing .... Would we return, probably not as more places available to try ... (and personally feel Poppy's 'basic' fish and chips in Spitalfields is nicer though FISH has more choice of specialist fish... More

Definitely good fish and chips. I had the sol (fish of the day) my brother had haddock. We both really liked the food and they use local ingredients right from the market. Overall, really good, but pricey compared to most fish and chips.

Description
Fish! Restaurant in the heart of Borough market, does what it says - providing the very best fish available in London to hungry customers. Established in 1999, restaurateur Tony Allan had a vision to transform the old 18th century Pea Shelling Warehouse into a fish restaurant. The airy interior encompasses the open kitchen where diners can watch the chefs at work. The restaurant opens out onto a large terrace, which is open all year and sits in the heart of Borough weekend market, with views of Southwark Cathedral.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
