Very pleasant staff and a good atmosphere. Truly excellent food at a reasonable price - especially for London. The garlic dip is wicked :-)

I've visited Cookhouse Joe today with my work colleagues. Menu was simple and enable you to make a quick decision. I recommend Lamb kofta burger. It was absolutely tasty! We took some sides to share and they all came in good sizes, nicely done and delicious. Hummus and hallumi cheese were top! We will definitely come back, mainly because of... More

We came here without a reservation during the week and got a table (a wee note for those like me who aren't from London - book in advance!) We had trouble selecting what we wanted as there was plenty to choose from and ended up sharing what we got. The chicken was very good, good portion size too!

They didn't put a foot wrong, all was well, beer was on point and so was the food. We sang happy birthday to a couple, which only added to the community vibe. The noise level was too high, I could happily share conversations without shouting.

This is a total gem just yards from Oxford Circus. Great burgers and cocktails. I booked on the basis of tripadvisor reccs for a group of 6 and was pleased that everyone enjoyed their food. Laid-back atmosphere and good prices. Would happily visit again!

Booked for a party of 10 and despite the restaurant being busy we were promptly seated upstairs. Very friendly and efficient service, and delicious food with plenty of vegetarian options too. Highly recommended for a fun group dinner!

Having to visit London for a dental appointment, I looked on Trip Advisor for somewhere cheap but good to eat. Looking at the £ ratings, I read the reviews for Cookhouse Joe. And I can wholeheartedly agree with them. Despite it being lunch time, we didn't have to wait ages. After having a quick sip from a great mug of... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
