Burger was great, fries cold unfortunately, amazing location and they had lots of staff but only one person at the bar so took forever to be served.

Was on a walk with a former work colleague along the Lea Navigation and called in here for a well deserved couple of pints and lunch. Very helpful and attentive management and staff. A good selection of beers and our food was of good quality and quantity. We shall call again.

Has changed since I was last there. Some changes good, some I don't like but that's my personal view. Hollie was excellent though and couldn't have been more helpful.

Came here with my house mate for a quite new years eve. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth it. Very cosy atmosphere and they had live music on as well. staff were really nice and super chatty (which I like). 5/7 would eat here again.

I live this pub. Is na right next home and very cozy. The food is great, good menu and big portions. Also the staff is very friendly. Specially in summer, to have a burger outside is amazing.

First went there 40 years ago when it was the Prince of Wales. Hadn't changed that much. Sunday roast was really good but tables are squashed together and it was all a bit noisy. Beer nothing special.

Lovely pub by the canal, gets busy on a Sunday so it's worth booking although we found sofas by the fire where we perched and smacked on onion rings, Mac and cheese and chicken liver parfait. Lovely mulled wine for £4.95 too! Highly recommend particularly as a stop of mid canal walk.

I have visited the Princess of Wales pub three times in the past month – the last visit 12 November with 8 members of a walking Group doing part of the Lea Valley Walk to the Olympic Park. The pub is perfectly situated right on the riverbank ; on each visit but particularly the Group visit I was delighted with... More

Went in for a Sunday roast dinner and was impressed by the excellent and quick service. Super friendly staff, lovely location, cozy interior (especially the lit fireplace!) and a few cool boardgames to stay entertained with. All I needed for a rainy Sunday afternoon. We've enjoyed the food and drinks and would definitely come back for more!

The Princess of Wales is a discreetly stylish gastronomic wonderland of a pub. With a focus on good quality food and local craft beer and some wonderful spaces to enjoy them in. The PoW is the ideal place to gather your gang together to celebrate an engagement, a birthday or a Friday! If you haven't prepared then a trip to the bar might take you longer than you think - with such a mouth-watering range of continental lagers, British ales, craft beers and premium spirits it gets hard to choose sometimes! That's before you even start on a wine list which is as elegant as it is comprehensive but never fear, our expert staff can always help if you find yourself enraptured by choice...
