Incredible feed from start to finish, beginning with the sourdough bread and dripping, finishing with one of the best deserts I've had. The roast Pork and Apple sharer was superb, we left suitably fed and watered. Great atmosphere in there and service with a smile. Highly recommend this and The Smokehouse, the sister restaurant.

We loved this restaurant - great service and equally great food. The short rib is definitely worth ordering although I was also very impressed by the crab pate. Portions err on the generous side, which is a nice change from some other places in London. Excellent wine list too.

We found this place through Trip Advisor looking for a good Sunday Roast. A great neighborhood restaurant with the perfect local feel. Had a great Christmas meal in the upstairs kitchen with work colleagues. Food was wholesome and quality, nothing too pretentious. Never had roast turkey and lamb on the same plate before, but recommended. After some dodgy Christmas meals, this was a nice experience!

I have been here a few times (maybe coz I live around the corner :D) and everything is amazing even the food smell coming to the street! :) Hard to pass by and not to stop. Really nice staff. I just recommend to book in advance really busy place.

The Pig and Butcher occupies a handsome pub built in the mid 1800's on what was fields used by farmers to rest and feed their livestock before being sent to Smithfield's Meat Market.We have brought the pub back to it's roots and receive carcasses straight from the farm and butcher them on site. We specialise in rare breeds such as White Park cattle, Iron Age pigs and Hebridean lamb while our friend Seb at Chart Farm supplies our game - if you haven't tried his venison you haven't lived!In summer we grill over coal and wood on our specially built Robata grill. In winter we brine, cure, smoke and braise.Vegetables come from Kent and are as good and as fresh as anything you'll find in this country.Our fish is supplied by Rupert on the south coast. He calls us in the morning and tells us what the day boats have caught and what he has. This is one of the reasons our menu changes so much - we literally don't know what fish we'll be serving until we have spoken with Rupert!We take our inspiration from farmhouse tables across Europe. Food is served simply and with little fuss! Share lots of small plates or a single big plate.
