Everything about our dinner at The Pig and Butcher was wonderful! The staff all seemed eager to be sure we enjoyed our meal (which we did) but did not rush us. The food was unique and tasty - the chocolate dessert was to die for! This is a must for London. We were a family group of six adults and... More

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night, we hadn't booked a table but the staff went out of their way to find seats for us. Our waitress was really attentive and informative. The food was really really delicious. Everything seemed fresh and homemade and there were really interesting and unique ingredients used. There was also a great selection... More

Food was fab but service was better! Big shout out to Misha who in the very busy environment made us feel like the only table in! Once she finished her shift she was taken over by Emily who was equally as great!! Kudos.

Great atmosphere, lovely service and attention to detail... fantastic evening had with 15 friends here, absolutely gorgeous bar food, scotch eggs to die for! Can't wait to go back for the well talked about Sunday roast.

We were served by Niketa, she was really lovely and took time and care with us all evening, made is feel very comfortable with her natural customer service. The food was excellent, to begin with the bread and oils were fab, followed by the Lamb starter with mint (could have eaten more of those). The rice pudding brulee was a... More

We were in London for the weekend and decided to meet up with some family members for a meal. As they live locally they suggested the Pig and butcher and we are so greatfull they did. The evening was special from start to finish. The food was top drawer cooked to perfection and exactly as we ordered. We started with... More

That's a very nice place to go out with friends to eat good English food but I burger. The meat is delicious and the service is fine.

Blown away by the Sunday Roast here, best I've tried in London so far. Amazingly cooked, tender meat (I had the lamb, my partner the pork), great sides and Yorkshire pudding. Potatoes were fine but not as fantastic as the rest of the offering (Hawksmoor's were better). Can't wait to try the sirloin and chicken too! I've been here before... More

My Japanese gourmet friend discovered this place and I loved it. We were for the Sunday Roast but in reality I had a superlative sirloin - really tender meat. I have to admit that the roast potatoes were the best ones I have had but who cares?! My dessert was pear crumble with white chocolate cream ... to die for!... More

The Pig and Butcher occupies a handsome pub built in the mid 1800's on what was fields used by farmers to rest and feed their livestock before being sent to Smithfield's Meat Market. We have brought the pub back to it's roots and receive carcasses straight from the farm and butcher them on site. We specialise in rare breeds such as White Park cattle, Iron Age pigs and Hebridean lamb while our friend Seb at Chart Farm supplies our game - if you haven't tried his venison you haven't lived! In summer we grill over coal and wood on our specially built Robata grill. In winter we brine, cure, smoke and braise.Vegetables come from Kent and are as good and as fresh as anything you'll find in this country. Our fish is supplied by Rupert on the south coast. He calls us in the morning and tells us what the day boats have caught and what he has. This is one of the reasons our menu changes so much - we literally don't know what fish we'll be serving until we have spoken with Rupert! We take our inspiration from farmhouse tables across Europe. Food is served simply and with little fuss! Share lots of small plates or a single big plate. We like the idea of bringing conversation back to the dining table and what better way to do it than sharing/stealing food? Think of food as Granny used to make…
