Went on a Friday lunchtime and we were the people in there (1pm) until just before we left. Not sure why as food was very good, service attentive and good choice of tapas. I thought it was a touch expensive and was surprised by the mandatory 12.5% tip but I would have tipped them that anyway. I will go again... More

There aren't many restaurants in London which earn their service charge/ tip. This is an exception. We went there for a business dinner with 9 people. Some people arrived earlier than the booking time whilst one member of our party was half hour late. The staff were very accommodating, seating the early arrivals immediately and started taking drinks and tapas... More

Having looked at a few reviews earlier, we started the evening with two G&T's from the G&T menu. The two enormous drinks served in goblets kept us going all evening & were nicely balanced with Fever tree tonic & cucumber/grapefruit slices. The service was well paced with helpful suggestions by the waitress on which dishes were worth trying. We enjoyed... More

Cute little place, not far from Marble Arch serves authentic Basque food and even has some Basques wines, a nice little surprise. If you want a bit of theater, as the guy at the bar to pour you a glass of Txakoli. Most of the dishes are small and tapas-y, in the style of San Sebastian. Nice whether you order... More

Enjoyable Friday afternoon business lunch with excellent food, wine and service. I didn't have to pay the bill so can't comment on value but I don't think the individual item pricing looked out of order. Nothing more needs to be said.

We walked in and got a table, but it got very busy right after (7pm on a Monday). The food was delicious, and the staff was really helpful in steering us towards things that worked well together. Our teenaged daughter opted to have take out sushi and watch a movie, and that was for the best - this is definitely... More

We went there for lunch. The restaurant is laid out in an attractive subtle Spanish theme. The staff are all friendly, with a sparkle of enthusiastic energy and very happy to explain dishes and suggest the right combination of dishes, and , not being familiar with many Spanish wines , they recommended a wine I did not know, but was... Dinner with some good friends in this Basque restaurant in London. Food was absolutely excellent: the ham, the back risotto, the croquettes. The wine as well. The service was impeccable. highly recommended.

Went for dinner on a Friday night with my husband and 2 friends and had an outstanding time at Donostia. All of the food was superb, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I wanted a cocktail and they didn't have all of the ingredients in the restaurant, the waiter went across the road to their sister restaurant... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
