Went there with a group of friends and it seemed a good idea as you can't go wrong with French food. Sadly the two bouillabaisse ordered arrived lukewarm/cold. Too bad as the food was not matching the service and décor: it would have been a...More

Wanted a quick pre-theatre snack. Hot evening so took a table outside. Ordered Americano coffee with hot milk and a ham baguette (ostentatiously called " Jambon, Beurre"). Coffee arrived hot but milk only lukewarm so left with a less than ideal white coffee. Baguette was...More

This feels like a hidden gem in the middle of London. Very deceptive from the outside, there is a lift for those who can't use the stairs down to the impressive brasserie. The staff, who are many, are friendly but professional. We had the three course set menu...More

The location is perfect just off Picadilly Circus, so very easily accessible from the underground. The room downstairs is stunning and is just as you would expect from one of the well known brasseries in Paris. The welcome is friendly, and there's plenty of seating....More

Booked for the early meal and show for a Saturday evening. It's a hidden gem in the heart of London which I am very pleased to have experienced. Deceiving frontage which directs you downstairs to a secret glamorous world of gilt gold and red velvet....More

Amazing decor, huge restaurant that still manages to give superb personal service, elegant and dignified but not at all stuffy. Great food and wines at very sensible prices.

The outside was quite deceptive. As you entered the building and went down the stairs it was quite breathtaking. The service was excellent as was the food. Given the choice again for a pre-theatre meal - Zedel will certainly be first on my list

The art-deco interior is stunning. The service is discreet and professional. The food is of a good standard and close to what one expects from a brasserie. We found the prices reasonable

This is hard to beat with fine service, excellent brasserie fare and something you do not find at all in any Paris Brasserie, brilliant live music. On this occasion jazz and the quality of the playing was exemplary, in particular Dave Archer lead guitar whose...More

I thought I knew most restaurants in the Piccadilly area but I had never noticed that this cavernous restaurant was underneath a rather quaint French style street cafe. First of all, this place has a great atmosphere. It is busy and the tables were being...More

A large, bustling Parisian brasserie transported to the heart of London. Open throughout the day, offering great value with remarkably low prices, its glorious, historic Art Deco interiors also play host to a 'Bar Americain', 'The Crazy Coqs', a live music and cabaret venue and ZL Cafe.
