Tough to fault, this Kiwi owned hipster hangout has pretty much everything you could want from a coffee/brunch place in Shoreditch. From the high ceilings, the industrial interior, a variety of seating (I can recommend a seat at the bar where you can watch the chefs do there thing just a few feet away), good coffee, and some well prepared,... Ozone coffee is one of my absolute favorite coffee brands and therefore I was excited to try the actual venue for brunch as the menu sounded delicious. Not only were our portions small in comparison with other Shoreditch venues, but the 'spiced potato hash' is just fried potato (or burnt potato in our case). The poached eggs were overcooked and... I was working in Shoreditch for 10 months round the corner from Ozone, and it was one of my favourite lunch places - took a few guests there and they generally loved it as much as I did. It's a big place with a cool industrial design thing going on - bare walls, workshop lights, factory stools, metal railings, and... More

This enclave harnesses every style-cue Shoreditch has to offer to ensure its Millennial cohort feel at home. Restaurant-cafe-come-work space. MacBook is de rigeur. The rugged neo-industrial, naked-warehouse architecture, pendant light bulbs and exposed ceiling ducts, rough-polished timber and metal. It's got it all. I confess I really liked it. To experience something similar you'd have to hop on a flight... More

My meal was superb: Corn Bread with chilli butter, haloumi, and a falafal based main course. Bustling atmosphere, with friendly staff, and quite busy.

I've been visiting this place for brunch for quite some time now. Yes, you have to queue to get in at some busy times, but it's always worth it (especially when people ask you what you are waiting for and you can see the wistful looks when they want to join the line but can't!). The food is great, the... More

Tucked away and through a doorway that could easily passed by, I happened upon this place. Just wanting a quick pick-me-up, it had been a busy morning of meetings, and only 11am, I stepped in thinking it to be a one hipster-ed manned push-buggy made out of re-claimed beard tooling equipment. Only to find a large space with all the... More

I visited Ozone for brunch and coffee with my wife as part of our city break to London. It is split into two floors, with the open plan coffee bar and kitchen in the middle of the top floor and the roasters and more seating on the roasters on the bottom floor. We were seated on the bottom floor. I... More

Interesting faux industrial interior with reasonable coffee and interesting breakfast options. Once you cut through the rediculous menu descriptions (Hand-cut fries w 7-spice salt ... yes, chips), there are great tastes to be found; the Kashmiri harissa field mushrooms were excellent. Not overawed by the coffee. A bit more focus needed on the food/drinks, and less on the hipster beard... More

Nice venue with industrial vibe and cool bathrooms - but food was a bit disappointing, portion sizes were small and the bacon on my eggs bendict dish was really tasteless and dry. Coffee flavour too wasn't anything special. We left there feeling like we've ticked off another London coffee place, but sadly nothing wowed us enough to want to return.

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
