I love Ethiopian/Eritrean food and have been wanting to try this place ever since I walked by it one summer day last year. A friend who lives in the neighborhood suggested we meet there as he had never tried it before, so I finally got to eat here - and it was awesome. The menu is extensive and I spotted... More

This place is great: authentic eritrean cuisine, imported wine and beer, friendly staff and the place itself is really nice too. If you don't know what this cuisine is about be careful: it's spicy, you eat it with your hands and it tastes different!

We called in here early Friday evening after failing to get in our preferred place (forgetting it was office party season). We're both vegetarian and the choice of 2 platters was appealing. When the food came it was on an enormous plate with little piles of food tantalisingly arranged on a Injera base (like an aerated pancake). You eat with... More

I live this place for that sour sensation on my taste buds. Excellent service and nice ambience I love the varieties of curries and the wine list was pretty good too. Make sure you wash your hands as this is part of the experience eating with your hands. Definitely worth a visit and you may be hooked

Came here with a six other ladies to kick off my hen night. The service wasn't the best..didn't help that I couldn't really understand the waiter...luckily one of the girls is Eritrean so that worked in our favour. The food was delicious, lots of different flavours and I was impressed with their range of veg and non veg dishes. It... More

Decided to come here with friends after restaurant opposite was fully booked; glad we did. An authentic and interesting cuisine experience. Loved the coffee ceremony and everyone eagerly ate everything put in front of them so success! Note that you will be eating with your fingers so will have to pop to the bathroom to wash hands. If I had... More

Have passed this place for years and wondered about it but never went in. Tried it this evening. Sharing platters are tasty both meat and vegetarian options and are almost too big. Coffee at end is a fun and delicious experience. Didn't pay so can't speak as to value though I will definitely return. Staff are a little inattentive and... More

What a great experience we had at Adulis. The wonderful people and atmosphere made us feel welcome and warm from our arrival. All of the food is excellent.
