Curry place! Will give the feel of authentic Indian cuisine. The chettinad is good and the thali is quite authentic. Our server was knowledgeable and swift. A nice experience

I am in love with the decor of this place which has lot & lots of bizarre stuff but beautifully gelled. The kababs & chaats are so amazing to begin the meal with & the hot curries are beautiful too. Service is brilliant too & so are the drinks.

We have been to London a few times, and we always eat here when we visit. Great Indian cuisine with good service. Good location, not too far from St. James's Park. My husband and I are vegan, and we some nice options; the carnivores with us were happy with their meals. too. Recommend!

I was very much looking forward to visiting this restaurant which was highly recommended by an Indian friend. The first issue was the unavailability of all but the most expensive white wines on the list. From initial discussions with different waiters to a protracted haggling session with the manager we spent a considerable length of time trying to get a... More

I went to Chor Bizarre last night to celebrate my birthday with my partner and a friend. In the middle of Mayfair and with prices like £13 for a single glass of prosecco, I was expecting not only beautiful food but flawless service and a sophisticated atmosphere. What we got was a family restaurant atmosphere (8pm but lots of children),... More

I came for lunch on a Monday and was the only soul in the joint. I was recommended a platter of about six various dishes, all Indian common dishes. Absolutely every one was beautifully done and completely delicious, my favorite being the rogan josh goat. Superb Indian in London, great and personable service, and friendly staff make this a must-try... More

This Indian food is absolutely top notch, British-style Indian. A great choice for dinner with my old friend John, who is a great lover of Indian food. I started with Purani Dilli Ki Papri Chaat, a most amazing version of the type of snack lunch I ate so often in Drummond Street back in the day. John went for Amritsari... More

We had a lovely dinner with friends and a great time. Food as great from starters to mains. The only downside is the price and feel there are places with better Indian food for less.

Visited today to catch up with a friend for lunch. We weren't offered the lunch menu. A simple chicken curry alone in a small bowl was £19.50, nearly £22 with service charge. The chicken was not chicken breast but thigh and had gristle in. My friend's chicken was not cooked properly so was sent back and asked to be replaced... More

Description
Mayfair's splendidly eclectic Chor Bizarre is a riot of colour, furnishings and trinkets that conjure up a romantic and flamboyant subcontinental atmosphere. The equally dazzling menu contains the kind of authentic Indian cuisine that you would expect from the London branch of New Delhi's most innovative and popular restaurant. Regional dishes, with a bias towards Kashmiri flavours, are individually matched with two different wines in order of preference.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
