Wanted a meal before Queens Theatre Show, Les Miserables. Having never visited China Town we had a walk around great atmosphere, decided on the Imperial a very welcoming greeting. Husband had the gammon which he enjoyed very much. I had the beetroot and cheese pie very good, but would call it a tart having no lid and a drink. Very... More

Went in for some food with the kids who have food allergies. Although the staff were helpful, they are unable to sell anything other than what the menu states as it is all pre-portioned. Our children have many intolerances. Just wanted Scampi and a plain jacket but they could not provide this without charging for the Scampi and chips and... More

I had seen a few pubs in this chain offering the Lamb Shank Pie and opted to try it here. It was ok if not a bit wish you washy under the crust. It was however tasty. My other half had Cod and Chips and was satisfied with what she got. Food ok but service a bit indifferent. To be... More

We were looking for somewhere close to the Prince of Wales Theatre as we were going to see Book of Mormon. We found The Imperial just off Leicester Square and it was busy. There was an outside seating area that was packed but there were plenty of tables inside. The place was busy, as you would expect at about 6pm.... More

First for the good: Quiet bar, looks nice in the inside. Great location. Large food portion. The bad: Warm poor tasting beer, food had no flavor and most importantly "terrible service!" The bartender/waitress barely spoke English. Seemed like she was new, confused or both. Didn't know the prices of items. Asked her how much a pint of x beer was... More

a standard, nice London pub, with a good choice of food and beers. I could appreciate the waiter approach in letting me testing the different beers. Average prices

We came a quick drink and enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the drinks. It can get busy so we were happy to catch it at a quieter time.

Two pints ordered. A pint of Trooper and a pint of London Pilsner. Absolutely appalling considering how busy this pub is. I hope the tourists don't think that is the standard of beer in this country.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
