Gorgeous old pub, high ceilings, traditional decor without being a dingy old man pub. Lively atmosphere but the high ceilings mean its not too loud - I visited with my dad who can't stand loud places any more. Good selection of ales & beer, lots...More

We popped in for a drink, it was really really busy, people even standing out at the front and down the side of the pub. Good ale but not northern prices, thought I had bought a bottle of rose wine, not just a large one!

Great, old, authentic pub on the Strand. I'm sure people like Churchill would have popped in here for a pint. Pleasant atmosphere in which to say farewell to colleagues leaving for greener pastures across the pond.

Fathima D, we're so glad that we were able to go above and beyond your expectations! We are not sure about Churchill having been drunken here, but Richard Harris definitely has been a regular! Have a great day! CH
