Her in doors wanted to get away from all the hassle and stresses of spending my money! So I'd thought I take her to London for some proper posh fancy scran! We's gets to London then via national express with the old ball and chain emptying her guts up all over the m6 (thanks to some dodgy monster munch and... More

This is a classic tourist trap: staff stand near the entrance ushering people inside. Annoyingly, my family fell for this. The food is mediocre, extremely salty. Service is the worst part, however. Rushed waiters, food and drinks are practically thrown at you, and you are asked to leave as soon as you have finished eating to make way for more... More

Steak cooked to perfection served with lovely vegetables and mushrooms; accommodated by intolerance by changing sauce; Excellent service and friendly staff. Very good value and excellent location.

We wanted a meal before going to an evening show nearby. We were attracted by the pizza oven which proved correct as both the garlic bread and pizza were great. The cost was also very reasonable given its location.

We visited this restaurant after visiting London Boat Show, and will never be going there again. To be absolutely fair the food was OK, but that is where the positive experience ends. We were attracted to the place as it looked bright and airy, not over-busy, but quite a few diners already inside. We were shown to our table and... More

We went here on 14th January before attending a nearby theatre. A member of staff who I assume was the manager or owner encouraged us in off the street and was very pleasant. However, after sitting down inside his whole demeanour changed. We had menus thrown at us, a "complimentary" garlic bread was plonked down and then we were rushed... More

Decided to dine here with my boyfriend before heading to the theatre. It looked buzzy but not too busy. As soon as we arrived, we were barely greeted and shoved into a corner table. We were given our menus, before i could read the starters the waiter came over rushing us for our food order and actually told us to... More

Went there on New Year's Eve just to try something different but man were we sorry. Straight away waiter started complaining cause we had a stroller cause my son was asleep. The second time he said something in Spanish I got up to leave but he said that it was ok. Unluckily I stayed. I ordered a pizza, wife a... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
