I visited this place with a group of friends on Saturday night. The moment we entered we were shown our table on the lower ground floor. The place was comfortable, and the pizza we ordered was very nice. At the moment of the dessert order unfortunately almost nothing was available, so only few of us tried some that were nice,... RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2016 via mobile

In amongst the hustle-bustle of Oxford St and Regents St, this is a gem of a place: very good calamari, freshly baked pizzas, some lovely pasta (our table had the chicken with pesto and the seafood pasta). Staff that were happy to serve you. All-in-all, highly recommended. More

Chosen by chance while in the area and especially by my lunch companion that just remembered he used to dine in this restaurant many years ago while working in Oxford st. Anyhow...rather good I had to say, it was pretty packed with business/office type of clientele, busy buzzy yet they found us a table in the basement in seconds! From... More

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your visit to our restaurant. I am sorry to learn that you were a bit disappointed by the quality of the sausage used on your pizza and I shall certainly look into why this was so. In the meantime I am very pleased to hear that, on the whole, your... More

We visited this delightful restaurant on a Saturday night and it was lovely. The group consisted of 18 ladies and the service was great! The waiter was attentive all night and looked after us brilliantly! Our food came all at the same time , piping hot and tasty . They even had gluten free dishes which was helpful as there... More

What a wonderful experience we had at Bar Remo. It was 6 December 2016 and still fresh on my mind ever after two months. The food was delicious and the atmosphere had a great Italian buzz about the place. thanks to Massimiliano, our waiter, who served us very well and was very attentive. I can't wait to go back again;... More

Lovely, good value food. The pizza was very thin (which I loved) and was very value. I had a special antipasti of mussels in a creamy sauce which were absolutely delicious. I will agree with one of the other reviewers that it is a little warm in the seating on the ground level as opposed to downstairs because of the... More

We stumbled upon Bar Remo when on Regent's St shopping, without actually knowing we wanted Italian at all. Yet, once we saw Remo we did indeed, straight away want Italian. The small restaurant feel Remo has was what we look for in an Italian - not glass panels and white lighting everywhere. The most important part of this review though... More

This was a little gem, a few steps away from Oxford Circus. Really good choice of authentic, fresh Italian food served in unpretentious surroundings with great ambience and good service. The portions were generous and all four different main dishes were delicious. We were all tempted by the homemade Tiramisu which was a perfect ending to the meal. Not bad... More

This place has been a restaurant for decades, it's a traditional Italian - pasta, pizza etc. Very down to earth if not basic food in generous portions. I had bruschetta which seemed to served on a pizza base rather than the traditional sour dough toasted bread, they weren't good. Our ladies had tricolore salads which was good. They then had... Was in the area and fancied an Italian so fired up TA and this place came recommended. It was a Saturday lunchtime, went in for a table for two, it was busy but they found us a table. Had a bottle of wine and a couple of pizzas which came out quickly and were delicious. Price, inc service was just... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
