I come here quite often and spend about 2/3 hours , the place is quite cozy , the music is nice, sofas are comfortable. Sometimes is a bit cold inside but the beverages they serve make me feel better. Meow.

Really big place yet the cafe seems really quite - sometimes like a library - still at least it gives you the chance to enjoy your cake and hot chocolate in peace while using the cafe's free wifi to do your work! Never disappoints.

Spacious and relaxed place. offers a filling breakfast vegetarian or meat for a small coin. Quality wasnt the best but great value for the money spent. Nice atmosphere - a place where you can hangout for hours working or having a meeting.

Have been here before, but never for breakfast. Will definately go again. £6 for a massive full English including tea. And served in a cool place with great music, whilst watching all the punters gathering for the Brick Lane market stalls.

Easy vibe, affordable drinks, friendly staff, good food, great layout and an obvious option for an informal drink with friends. You'll become regulars in no time.

I am a regular daytime visitor to Cafe 1001 as it is very close to my office. On a good day a very cheerful lady (i think her name is Rosie) serves you strong coffee with a great smile. The cakes are definitely worth a try, but the sandwiches not so much - the grill outside does great grilled mushrooms... More

Never ate here, but i drank a lot of cheap red stripe and watched a lot of shows while living in London for half a year. Met some cool people and always had a lot of space to spread out. Also would stop by to do coursework and have a coffee or beer. It's a really cool area; Brick Lane... More

Had a great coffee here, the cake was also lovely, actually it tasted better than it looked. Comfy couches upstairs with a great atmosphere. Music was a tad loud for my liking, but then I have a little industrial deafness so find most places are like this.

Stopped here for an early breakfast after struggling to find anything nearby. The full english seemed good value at £6 with tea or coffee and toast, but was not particularly pleasant and served on a cold plate. The sausage and beans were also cold. I can imagine there is a good vibe here as others have said and the staff... More

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighbourhood Profile
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
