Small place for small, well-formed plates of Spanish fare. A nice range, all cooked to order, with a cold beer on the side.

I've tried so many tapas bars/restaurants in London, and José is the only one I return to time and time again. Yes it's tiny, but the food is just perfect. I judge a tapas place by its staples, and here things like patatas bravas and...More

Tiny restaurant but do not be put off by this. Persevere and order a drink then a table will finally become available. The food is amazing, all cooked fresh, attentive staff, great cava, you do not have to wait long for the food. Highly recommend...More

Wonderful atmosphere in a restaurant which screams quality and delivers exceptional food. The staff and service were great. Definitely worth a visit for a true taste of Spain. The prices reflect the excellence you would expect from a Michelin star chef.

Simply wow. The best tapas we've experienced anywhere in the world. This is a real gem. Informal and accommodating with exceptional food and friendly attentive service. We arrived early and took our time ordering faultless dishes. The waitress even came and asked why we hadn't...More

Food still excellent though the likes of lobos, or barafina are doing some more exciting things with the food, none can claim to be as charming a recreation of a tapas bar. Standing room only for all but a dozen or so people gives the...More

Spanish cuisine often doesn't travel well. Maybe its unauthentic ingredients, or maybe just a lack of culinary skill. Perhaps too, it's a result of an insufficiently demanding clientele with a knowledge of what good Spanish food should taste like. Whatever it is, if you find...More
