Returned for a friendly breakfast with visiting pals, Saturday, we had not a booking and were shown to the bar, dark, no one there and cold! We returned to the lounge area, And after -20 mins were served coffee, menus for food after about 25, eventually we had a table, but it took an hour to be served food! The... More

A business lunch was impeccably served by attentive wait staff. The dishes were well-prepared and the prices very reasonable. Perhaps most importantly, the ambience of the restaurant was peaceful and rather akin to dining in an elegant English country-side hotel. It's reassuring that such places still exist in St James's and the West End of London.

I had a full afternoon tea here with a friend and it was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. The service is impeccable, the tea selection is nice and the scones, etc are plentiful and delicious.

Hopefully the title summarises the experience The venue was beautiful, it was a dining room type setting with very English decor, you feel transformed into the olden days but in a good way! Service was excellent, everyone attentive and helpful. We went for the 3 course for £30 deal. Options were ok (I would have preferred lamb or chicken as... More

The pictures show an elegant restaurant. I simply didn't get that feel at all. More like an upmarket lounge area where meals are served. Food was pretty average. Smoked salmon unimaginative - piece of salmon and sliced brown bread. Risotto not bad but not the best. This was an offer £30 for three courses including glass of champagne. Had to... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
