5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed yesterday NEW

This was our second visit to The Gilbert Scott, both on the £30 per person three course including cocktail. I have given it 5 bubbles this time because it is a wonderful deal, a wonderful restaurant with the most amazing food. The atmosphere is relaxing so you don't feel you have to dress up particularly- everyone seems normal! We had... More

Great drinks menu, food was very nice and I think well priced, in a great setting, no complaints and would visit again.

My wife and I came here after seeing the Hockney exhibition at the Tate Britain as on tube line home. We booked on open table and a cocktail was part of the £30 a head menu. We were greeted week and costs taken and quickly taken to a nice table away from the pack. The building is magnificent and the... More

My Fiancée and I visited the Gilbert Scott as a valentines treat, and what a treat it was! We do not have much in the way of fine dining experience, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we were made to feel very welcome, especially by the sommelier Mohammed (his advice on how to pronounce the names of wine was... Came here on recommendation and really enjoyed it. Greeted at the door and shown to a nice table, lovely friendly staff willing to help out no matter what the query. Drinks menu is extensive to say the least, maybe even too much! But safe to say they'll be something for everyone. It is expensive here but you do get what... More

Tried on a few occasions to book here and finally got a booking. Cocktails in the bar were very good and building is a great setting. The restaurant is a whole different thing. The waiting staff need to be a bit more discreet it's all far too chaotic, constant movement which seemed way more than anywhere else we visit. We... More

I booked for the valentines special and have never been to the Gilbert Scott before so didn't know what to expect. Have to say everything about the evening was fantastic! The food was beautiful (we had the set menu, 5 courses) and everything was of the highest standard as you'd expect. The atmosphere was also lovey, dimmed lights and very... More

I visited this restaurant as part of a large business dinner and despite the poshness of the place the food was really nice as was the service. We had a set menu that was presented really well with decent size portions

This was was the second visit to have dinner. The surroundings are lovely, the staff delightful but the food is mediocre and expensive for what it is. As a benchmark, we are often to be found in starred Michelin restaurants, and this place does not deliver. The bar is great for atmosphere and drinks.
