To start, we aren’t experts in Persian cuisine, so won’t attempt to offer a deeply informed view from that perspective. Rather, as a regular diner in good restaurants would simply say that this was a great evening for 7 of us. Each dish was a...More

I had an early dinner with a friend who recommended Kateh. The service was fine, the food was ok, but I felt that is was overpriced. Apart from the food, the cheapest bottle of wine was £30 for house wine which probably retails at about...More

We remember you well, constantly complaining to the waiter about price of everything and at the end you shared one starter and one main course!!!The reason we have house wine at £29 is precisely because not to sell wine that retails at £6. I can’t...More

The food is so delicious, i went back again to eat the same dish, the rice and the butter, grilled onions with tomato all together with the kebabs is a great combination. One of the best persian in london.

I have to say the food was outstanding, clearly the chef is someone who loves food and uses the best ingredients to create sublime dishes. The wine list had been chosen with tasteful care and matched the food well. The waiting staff were professional, classy,...More

This was our first try of Iranian/Persian food. We enjoyed ourselves, but were slightly disappointed. Granted, it could have been our poor choices of dishes. This little restaurant provides great atmosphere, impeccable service and reasonably-priced dishes. We ordered a few starters, main courses and a...More

I’ve now visited Katee on two occasions. Both times, the food was very good. Tasty with generous portions. The restaurant on the ground floor itself is quite small and very cramped. The tables are so close that it is impossible to have a private conversation....More

On a pretty residential street just off of Warwick Avenue, you'll discover a Persian oasis in the shape of Kateh, a contemporary Middle Eastern restaurant with a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The Kateh menu is based around traditional Persian cuisine, all utterly authentic, showing those historical French influences in the flairs and techniques something especially seen in Kateh's sublime desserts. Carefully put together by owner Narges Pourkhomami, for whom Kateh is quite clearly a labour of love, the restaurant combines the best of modern Iranian hospitality and style with Persian authenticity and touches of London sophistication. So not only is the menu painstakingly put together to offer guests the perfect dining experience but Kateh's surroundings; the white washed walls, the simplistic furniture and the eccentric reclaimed tabletops, add that something extra that elevates one's visit to the next level. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed out in the restaurant's Mediterranean inspired terrace, which whisks you away on a short holiday without ever leaving the ground.
