What a place! I visited this restaurant for a lunch with a friend while exploring London on a Saturday. I planned the day trip so as time was precious and there is so much choice in London, I wanted to introduce my friend to the Italian cuisine. I wanted something that I can't access locally and found this beautiful little... More

They do a good value £10 lunch with any pizza or pasta and a glass of wine or beer. You must include service charge and VAT, but still good value for a quick lunch.

My partner and I walked by this Azzurro branch and thought we would go in purely because it had been on our radar for a while and whilst not planning on visiting, we 'stumbled' across it, having already been to the one in Waterloo and Auberge (another restaurant in the chain. We very much like Auberge and have been there... More

Stumbled upon Azzurro - first reasonable eatery found after arriving at London Bridge station - and in need of a late lunch. Not much to look at from outside but it was offering a very neat price for what promised a tasty lunch. Not disappointed. Inside appearance is as average as the outside but..... staff were great - all smiling... More

I came in for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Staff were very attentive, food came fast, deal for the lunch had a good value. The only let down was when leaving the venue. Toilet was dirty and looked like noone check it for the whole day.

We went again finding this place to revisit our awesome meal 2 years back. The place has been redone and looks much better than last time. However service was a disappointment and food not as great as the first time. I would recommend not to plan special evenings here but a good passing by meal is fine.

Use this place for all my quick business lunches in London Bridge. I can always depend on the pasta and it is always praised by my guests.

Visited the restaurant on our way past London Bridge Station for a quick lunch. The place was relatively empty so it was very easy to get a table. We took advantage of the pizza or pasta and a drink lunch special. My partner had a pizza and I had a pasta neither were particularly exciting dishes.

Came here for the lunch time special (£10.95 for a drink and pizza or pasta) well worth it! My pasta was £12 alone so well worth the money! The food was amazing and generous portions, was very full up after eating! As we went at the beginning of lunch is was quite but got a lot busier as the afternoons... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
