We visited this restaurant following a recommendation and enjoyed a very pleasant meal. The selection of tapas-style dishes was varied, well-cooked and tasty and we were given a good recommendation for a wine to accompany the meal. The service was friendly, cheerful and efficient and we will return to work our way through the menu!.

We were looking for a place to have a pre-lunch drink. We saw the sign Opera Tavern and assumed it was a bar, but it turned out to be a restaurant. They were happy to serve us drinks only but we were shown to stools by the window, not a table, even though the place was empty. When we came... More

Finally went there on Friday night, having heard very good things about the place, and I can honestly say I couldn't have asked for a better evening! The food was sensational, by far the best tapas I've had in town! I went for the octopus, the mackerel and courgette flowers (my favourite), all of which were simply delicious: great presentation,... Cosy restaurant, with very attentive and welcoming staff. Wine recommendation met our taste perfectly. Great selection of food for both meat eaters and vegetarians and the food was delicious! Perfect atmosphere throughout the evening. Highly recommend and definitely will be coming back there soon.

If I could pick no stars to rate my experience, I would. Visited this restaurant today for the first time on a recommendation, however I must say the experience was horrendous. It was supposed to be a Mother's Day treat, before a visit to a show however we all left disappointed and hungry. We ordered the flat bread, the selection... More

Never been before, but we were a large group of 10 people and so went for the group sent menu (which was dreamy coz it saved me making any decisions). The selection of tapas as the main was the highlight for us - the wood pigeon was AMAZING!! Our only complaint was there wasn't enough of it, but that's us... More

A decent place, good atmosphere and lovely waiters. The food is OK, they have a couple of vegan and GF options, nothing too special. We were a bit disappointed that we were almost kicked out after the 2h booking slot ran out. I appreciate everyone has their own rules but think it could have been handled better, so will not... Booked for ten o'clock after theatre meal, seem to be rushed from the moment we arrived, we started with Guindilla Peppers, main course of Pan Fried Tiger Prawns and Italian cheese's to finish all very bland and small portions, and over priced.

I visit this place frequently and on my most recent visit I was not disappointed. Hubby and I had a selection of steamed sea bass, roast tiger prawns, very good baked beetroot & taleggio gratin, chicken thigh and pork belly. The atmosphere is buzzy, and it is supremely convenient for the Royal Opera House. Cheap it is not.

Nice atmosphere with pleasant but not overly helpful staff. Food was nice, especially the Venison meatball special, however very expensive for the amount of food you get. It was initially quiet when we arrived but soon filled up. Will we go back, sadly no.
