My friend and I decided to eat here around Midday after watching a show at ITV studios nearby. We'd never been to a Zizzi's before and were pleasantly surprised by all of the food on offer. I opted for a pizza and my friend went...More

We have always enjoyed going to zizzis restaurant however we were disappointed by the extremely long wait over an hour, and having seen others receive their meal before us had to complain to the manager. In their defence as we walked out they offered us...More

My family and I ended up here after our hotel concierge sent us to another restaurant nearby without reservations. After not being able to get in, we ended up at Zizzi and boy, were we pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the service was...More

Dropped in after a long day sightseeing on our feet. Staff were lovely and fit us in and explained upfront that although all empty, all of the tables with the best view were booked. Regardless, we were on a nice table with some of the...More

This is a family restaurant. Not somewhere I normally go, but was recommended by a young and inexperienced concierge at my hotel. The food was very tasty, but the portions very small. The king prawn pasta had 5 small/medium-ish prawns in it only. The wine...More

Enjoyed lunch here recently before going to the Tate Modern which is nearby. Service was efficient, we were welcomed and seated quickly and given menus to look at straight away. The great selling point of this restaurant is that it is located on the first...More

It was the first time to a Zizzi restaurant - a colleague at work chose this place for a lunch break away of work and it was a disaster: despite the booking we waited to order, the waiter was confused while ordering and we had...More

We visited London for vacation and were nervous about eating out with our two children with food allergies (one with celiac disease and one allergic to eggs, peanuts and tree nuts). Zizzi has excellent information on allergens (available online). They even had desserts that were...More

Main courses hadn't arrived after 1 hour 20 mins so we walked out. Trying to push in too many tables. Everyone was complaining.

The restaurant is fairly small and we were seated on an end row of tables which were extremely tight together when a couple were seated next to us we did almost feel as though we were sharing a table! This, however, is the only negative...More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Just a short walk from the famous Globe Theatre, our Bankside restaurant offers a nice rest for the weary London sightseers and stunning river views while you dine. The illustrations decorating the walls throughout the restaurant were inspired by the surrounding area - a hub of urban skateboard culture that involves spirit, music and fashion, illustrated by the artist Matthew Brooks. Look out for loads of other interesting details including skateboard decks, modern art and vespa scooters.
