Visited with 4 work colleagues for a mid week bite. Great, authentic Indian fare served with a smile and no pretence. Would definitely go again.

Restaurant in a basement, so don't go expecting luxurious spacious surroundings, but then this is the heart of Mayfair, and I'm surprised that a "traditional" curryhouse has been able to survive here at all. However do go if you want a good curry. No chefs...More
Manager/staff in charge was rude and incredibly unhelpful; one of the worst-mannered I've come across. Very small/cramped space that seats less than 20. Despite stating on their website that they are accommodating of food allergies, please note that this is not true, as everything is...More
Stopped here for a quick lunch. Slightly grumpy waiter, no smiles, restaurant is in the basement... not so nice. No lunch specials, which in unfortunate, thus I ordered "butter chicken", a dish which is pretty easy to make... it sucked ! Chicken bits floating around...More
Iv been coming to this restaurant for almost 7 years now, excellent food and service, very traditional home cooked style dishes ranging from mild to hot and spicy! Had the jalfrezi, what can I say besides delicious! Will return when I'm in the area for...More
We stay several weeks in Mayfair each year, but never before had seen the New Taj Mahal restaurant in Shepherd's Market. It is a bit hidden on a lane leading to Picadilly. The restaurant is very small, about 8 tables, holding about 20 people, on...More
Thank you very much for your custom! We value all our customers and would love to see you again.
This place is a hidden gem of Mayfair! Don't miss it if you like real Indian food - no twits, no nonsense. Curries are awesome whatever you order you will be happy. Staff is friendly and food incredibly cheap. I will be back for sure!
Thank you for great review! We look forward to serving you again.
Best chicken tikka masala ever tasted. Chanced upon this quaint restaurant whilst exploring Shepherds Market, four of us promptly seated & served, friendly waiter & very reasonably priced, would've expected it to be more expensive due to location.
Glad you enjoy your experience and thank you very much for your review. We would love to see you again.
I have visited this quaint little restaurant many times and myself and a friend always thought it was excellent, and it still is! however for a curry meal with a few sides starter, poppadum's and beers is it worth £35 per head? I don't think...More
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the meal but found the price expensive. We always aim to value our service best to the market and for a restaurant in Mayfair, we are one of the cheapest but still aim for amazing...More
