Our first visit to Hawksmoor was not so great, so after Huw and Will personally emailed us afterwards for our comments, we were honest and a told them we were a bit underwhelmed. In return they offered us a complimentary dinner to make up for it and put the wrongs we found, right, which we took them up on. And... More

The best Sunday Roast claim is subjective, of course, but for me -- wow... I wish I had a restaurant like this in my city; I'd be a regular with a usual table and no need for a menu. First, the service is over the top. Every single person we came into contact with had personality plus. From the moment... More

My husband fancied a beef Sunday dinner so visited here based on tripadvisor reviews and so glad we did. As it was Mothering Sunday there was no room in the restaurant so we were seated in the bar which was more than adequate. He really enjoyed his beef dinner not only a good portion size but good quality. I was... More

Having read Mark Bittman's positive review in the NY Times, we came for lunch when we had to be in the vicinity. We were so pleased - the beef is grass fed and delicious. The staff is eager to please and very low key. We enjoyed our cocktails and the sides were terrific - mushrooms, greens and thrice cooked chips.... More

We went here today to meet our friends from Venice food tours as they were over for a visit , we weren't planning on eating but ended up having a fantastic meal and even though it's Mother's Day and very busy they got us a table with our friends , we were looked after by a waiter called Roman who... Loved the location, off Covent Garden. Staff charming helpful. Food great , if a little pricey. My steak was Good , but not the best I had had for the money. Wanted medium rare, got medium, but no time to send back due to going off to the theatre, have had a voucher for next time soi feedback does matter... More

Great service and a really cool setting. Loved how relaxed it was. Had the salmon to start which was amazing. The steak was a little disappointing as I'd heard such great things. It was excellent but not the best I've had. Quite expensive considering we didn't drink much but it's to be expected in such a restaurant. Would return.

We have eaten here before but have not eaten sunday lunch before so i was excited to see if it lived up to the reviews. Simply put, it more than lived up to its reviews, we had roast beef and roast chicken dinners, the portion size is huge so make sure you go with a good appetite. The quality of... More

As the title says great restaurant. Fantastic atmosphere good selection of wines, very attentive staff and probably most importantly great food, I chose the ribs to start followed by the rib eye,. Will be returning.
