This was my second visit here after a wonderful first visit. The décor of the place is beautiful and everything is clean. The service is fantastic and everything you'd expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. I had gone for a special set lunch and free...More

Visited for Sunday lunch. Faultless service from arrival to leaving. Staff attitude was professional, yet welcoming. Food was well up to standard. Setting was beautiful. However, advertising "Jazz Sunday lunch", even though via "a state of the art sound system" was stretching a point. The...More

Four of us booked for a late (13.30) lunch midweek. The restaurant is a converted chapel in Spitalfields. It’s surrounded by new glass and concrete office blocks, trendy bars and restaurants, so the stripped back decor is a welcome retreat. Access is either through the...More

Dear Kathryn S, as explained unfortunately we have few round tables in the room and these would have been allocated/reserved prior to your visit so I'm sorry you were disappointed with your square table. Thank you for your feedback which has been passed to the...More

Hi Wendy, yes that would be absolutely fine to wear smart jeans. The dress code at La Chapelle is 'smart casual'.

The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.
