I can't praise this place enough. The setting, the food and the service are all fantastic!! Aaron, who we only found out afterwards is the manager, was the complete host, not only hospitable but very accommodating and helpful throughout our visit. Fully recommended!!! A++++++

My parents were visiting from Spain so I wanted to remind them of home with a great British Sunday lunch and The Mitre provided just what I was looking for. Delicious food and great service from Brankitsa and Oscar really made the day. I think I might have just persuaded my parents to move back to the UK!

First - parking outside is not easy. Four parking bays just outside are usually busy, and they are Pay and Display. If not there - not sure, you'd just have to walk to get there I guess. It is a large place, with solid decor, spacious feel, many features to see, glass and mirrors. Tables are aplenty, couches to sit... More

My partner and I had one of the best meals that we've ever eaten!! I would go back every day if I could. We have 3 courses and each course was amazing. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, and the nice modern interior is cozy and inviting. The food was incredible; I had the Kale and pomegranate warm salad... More

Classy and friendly layout to the restaurant. The Rioja was absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it would complement most dishes on the menu. I had the Pumpkin Soup for starters, it was creamy and full of deep complex flavour. For the main course I opted for the Gnocchi because I've often found this dish to be bland and pointless, but... Visited several times over the last few years and found it it to be a reliable place especially for a Sunday roast. On our previous visit the service was a little slow but prepared to think it might have been an off day. This time booked for 2pm, arrived early but were seated a good 15 minutes later than the... Let's start with the positives, because you know, YOLO and all that. The food across the board was fantastic. I had the scallops to start and they were up there with the best I've had anywhere. It was a Sunday so we all had a mixture of roasts - I went for the beef and it was top notch. A... More

We arrived late due the storm and even though the kitchen was near closing time they served us a three course meal. The oysters were very good. The beef was tender and cooked to perfection. Lobster perfect. The only let down was the lamb which was a bit overcooked and not the best quality meat. The desserts was good quality.

Went for lunch at The Mitre and was not disappointed. The service was great and the staff were all very welcoming. Was greeted at the door and seated straight away although it was very busy. Had the duck breast and was recommended a fantastic wine to go with it. Food was absolutely delicious and everything was top notch. Will definitely... More

I had drinks for my birthday party there and came back a few weeks later for lunch. In both occasions the staff was kind and attentive. The food is very good, particularly since it's supposed to be a pub, both as in party platters and proper seated meal. Nice beer and wine selection and very comfy. I will go back.... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
