We didn't hang around long enough to sample the food but this place seriously needs an upgrade. The smell was horrendous and we were put sitting beside a portable electric heater. All the windows were fogged up with condensation. It might be ok for a take away but I couldn't eat here. We made our excuses and left. Very strange... More

Restaurant close to our accommodation, food quality acceptable, place busy with local Chinese customers (which is always a good sign). Had a set menu for four persons which was very good value for money considering London prices. Staff friendly but remained "low key" throughout our evening visit. Would use again. 😃

Examing it's kitchen and storage area, the place where foods make are massy and unsatisfied. I am not sure about you guys, but hygien should be the first priority of the restaurant. Manager's attitude needs to be approached!!!!

Happened to come upon this restaurant while looking for some chinese food near our hotel. Tried the yang Chow fried rice and it was actually better than expected as it was not too salty. They served mainly sichuan food. The mapo tofu and the hot and sour soup was quite good.

Have found it difficult to find a good local chinese takeaway restaurant but this fits the bill. Much more tasty than it's counterparts. The green beans with mince were delicious. Our new favourite chinese local. Cannot comment on the restaurant itself.

We came in for some dim sum only. The food was clearly not made fresh, but from package bought from China Town. I mean I would rather cook myself, it may turn out better and I could make the plate look better than they did. they also need serious improvements on service and presentation. i don't know how they survive... Not wanting to travel to Soho, we ate near our hotel. Served properly, a nice menu, nice dim sums, rooted crispy pork, not crispy and a bit tough. Service okay, not too great, so all in all not all that pleased.

Tucked away a short walk from Earls Court station it would be easy to dismiss this place for a fancier restaurant. That would be a mistake, the service is okay nut the food was delicious and good value for money.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
