While spending a week in London where my daughter is currently living, we met up with her at several places for either an excursion or a meal. One evening, she chose "Troia" for our get together. Luckily we had a reservation because the place was...More

We found this place by accident so thought we'd give it a try. We are glad we did, the food was good served by a friendly waitress and the price (considering where this is), was excellent value. Will be going again next time we are...More

Troia is located steps away from London Eye and has both an inside and outside area. Have ate here a few times and food has been tasty and fresh, service generally good. Would recommend the chicken shish as a main and Baklava with fresh mint...More

Delicious food with the wife in this cosy Turkish restaurant- service was quick if a little harrid- waiters were rushing around and at times was hard to get there attention. Went here due to its location right across the London County Hall - where we...More

Stopped here for dinner as it was close to our hotel, and it was very good. Service was at times a bit distracted.

Had lunch here with family. Nice choice of food on the menu, ordered kebabs and these were good. Food arrived quickly even though it was busy for lunch. Waiter took our order but was very unenthusiastic and no smile. Not bad value for money, pity...More

Although the food was nice enough, not outstanding by any stretch but ok, the service was lacking, waiters looked very disinterested and off hand. The reason for this became apparent when we requested the bill, a 12.5% service charge is automatically added, so that explained...More

I have wasn't too sure about coming here after reading recent reviews about poor service but our visit very early on a Sunday evening turned out to be very good. We had a set menu for two at £28, generally very good, fresh salad, wonderfully...More

Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a
thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National

reasons that Southbank is such a collectively
cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly
activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized
river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo
Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and

Description
This smart glass-fronted cafe, restaurant bar on Belvedere Road is neighbours with the Royal Festival Hall, Westminster Kitchen! and Chez Gerard in that cultural hot-spot, the Southbank. The 82-dishes (excluding set, special and children meals) offer a comprehensive taste of Turkey's national (healthy) diet. There's kisir, a cold starter of nuts, bulgar wheat, herbs and spring onions. Hearty mains include kuzu guvec, a lamb casserole, and a delicious mariage of runner beans and onions served with a rich tomato sauce and rice called yesil fasulye. There are fish, pasta, rice, and special veggie dishes too. Desserts make an intriguing change from treacle pudding and cheesecake. How about kaymakh kestane - sweet chestnuts sprinkled with chestnuts and served with home-made cream?
