I know it's only a brassiere but at their prices I think we can expect better. My £14 starter which comprised about £2 worth of food came with a poached egg which had a very strong resemblence to a golf ball, absolutely rock hard, served with sausage slices and very very fatty lardons. It took three of us gesticulating wildly... More

I have now eaten in a number of Brasserie Blancs, some such as Threadneedle Street multiple times. This was the first time at Tower of London, on the side of Trinity Square and overlooking the Tower of London. Four of us met for a pleasant reunion lunch. Atmosphere and service were are as good as expected, and all our meals... More

Having booked several months in advance and advised that one of the party was a vegan, we had been assured this was not a problem. We also checked again on arrival. However the first question asked by the waiting staff was "Do vegans eat butter?". Instantly my heart sank. Was that seriously a question from an eating establishment?? She scuttled... More

Medium sized gathering downstairs on Saturday. Good food from short menu. Well matched mellow wines. Friendly attentive staff. Pleasant room for size of our group. Lousy weather outside and planned closure works at Tower Hill tube, neither sufficient to dilute evening.

Don't be fooled by the name! This franchise is poor. I've visited twice, once in Milton Keynes, once in London, both were extremely poor. Raymond Blanc should review his signature restaurants as he would be disgusted with food delivered cold, service vey poor and absolutely no atmosphere. The cooking standards are abominable and the food quality low. I won't ever... More

Went for lunch with a friend. Staff so friendly and helpful. Only issue was two of the main courses were unavailable so choice was a lot more limited. Would return

booked a table for a pre theatre dinner and needn't have as it was very quiet I must firstly say our waitress was lovely and very attentive, but the food was very disappointing. admittedly we ate from the fixed price menu and the starters were OK, but the main course looked like a badly presented ready meal and didn't taste... Called on a Friday evening, a really warm friendly welcome. We both had the set menu, my wife two courses, myself three. The food was just perfect, & amazing value. The staff who looked after us were a credit to the company. We both look forward to an early return visit

Had a fab afternoon tea here yesterday. It was all delicious and the staff were really courteous and friendly but professional, nothing was too much trouble. Strongly recommend this for a special treat. As afternoon teas go this was definitely a 10 out of 10!

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
