Really relaxed, generally nice, but as common here, slow service. But be warned, you will get ostracized if you whistle to get attention - be extremely patient. I resorted to whistling for attention out of desperation - service is poor. I'm actually really offended after spending a week in this bar, to be chastised for whistling. If the staff were... More

This bar is attached to the Hilton Paddington, it is not an asset to the property. I looks like a disco lounge with cheesy lights and raised platform with tables that sit too low. Menu is light, bar is fully stocked but the bar tender is not an expert, or skilled, I was skip this. Seriously, so much more out... More

I'm not sure if the steam bar is part of the Hilton or not. It is accessed through the Hilton lobby. The drinks are ok, I found the place a bit loud, but others call that lively.

Definitely more of a late night club bar, pity because there was several guest who walked in and walked out straight away. Maybe the hotel should look at making a more quieter bar somewhere in the hotel?

Non existant service, poor attitude. Food well presented but expensive and minimal. Staff should spend more time on the customer service and less time chatting amongst themselves. A smile can go a long way and not not just at the end when expecting a tip. We are good tippers as we are in the industry ourselves but they got nothing... More

The quality of drinks is pretty good but the staff are preoccupied with talking between themselves. They are unobservant and unresponsive. One would not want to be in a hurry.

The food was poor, deep fried nonsense. The staff service was slow despite the restaurant being completely empty, and to top it all off we saw mice running around on the floor a few tables down from us. Advise to steer clear of this one.

This bar has seen many little changes. Its nice to pop in but the local pubs are better. The weekends are a little exclusive.... Best to avoid Friday to Monday!

Sadly the Steam Bar has nothing that evokes the romanic age of steam. Unless formica, faux leather, flashing neon lights, and TVs showing Sky adverts on repeat somehow remind you of the Flying Scotsman or Orient Express? It is impossible to order a drink at the bar, and you are charged an additional 10% service charge. Minimum spends and card... More
