I met with colleagues for a drink in this bar and found it very chilled and relaxing. The service was good and it was most convenient in its location.

My husband and I stopped in at Ruba before dinner this past Friday. We seated ourselves, ordered a glass of champagne and a coffee from our server and received them pretty quickly. The washrooms were clean. We didn't find the drinks to be that expensive; they were certainly in line with Central London prices. I'd return if in the area.

We held our company's launch party in The Snug at Ruba Bar on 5th January 2017. Daniel and his team did an absolutely superb job of making our guests feel welcome and taking care of things so that we could relax and enjoy our evening. The canapés were delicious and really well presented as were the kilner jars of cocktails.... More

Visited Two Ruba at Hilton Hotel for a pre-booked afternoon tea for two as a birthday treat for a friend. When making my reservation I provided a note that I am pescatarian so when my afternoon tea arrived there were only two triangles of smoked salmon, two chicken and two hummus, which failed to satisfy, later we ordered more but... Ruba never disappoints. They have one of the best service in town and that combined with a plush interior and a very relaxed atmosphere, this has to be one of the best places near London Bridge. We have been here often, in the past, and the standard of service has never deteriorated. They have a wide range of cocktails on... More

Service was very slow even though there were only about 8 customers and 2 staff. Cocktails (Manhattan and Margarita) were low quality.

If you want to find a bar in London Bridge that's not crowded and where you're able to sit down and relax, then Ruba Bar is definitely the place. The bar is the perfect place for a quiet social as it never overly busy or loud so you're able to actually relax and hear the person you're talking to. Admittedly... More

We hosted drinks for several friends few days ago and everybody really enjoyed their time. the cocktails were really good as well as the bar food. Staff is very friendly and the service was quick. We have been here a few times and always felt it was relatively under-appreciated. Probably because prices are slightly on the higher side. However they... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
