This place is like coming home. Have made my way through most of the menu and have never been disappointed. My friends and I came here when we lost a dear friend, to celebrate birthdays, to share our days, go on dates, meet new friends and just make wonderful memories. The pianist adds a lovely touch. The place is always... More

Ciao Bella Probably one of the busiest restaurants in London by far ... its still stuck in circa 1960.. but oh how wonderful that it.. its what one would call an old school italian restaurant.. The food is good ( not fantastic ) but good ... good enough that you see the same old faces again and again in there... More

All five in our party had outstanding meals. The service was excellent. The house red wine was excellent. The ambience features long, communal tables and a relatively high noise level, but the food is worth it. My wife's veal saltimbocca was prepared perfectly. Her pasta carbianari was delicious. My pasta puttanesca was prepared exatly as I prefer to have it.... More

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years after finding it by happy chance on a work trip my wife made to London. We have gladly taken many of our friend here over the years and never been disappointed by the atmosphere, service and great quality food. This occasion was no different. We were in London with our... More

Great food, service and atmosphere! Busy place so reservations are needed. If you are craving pasta and pizzas while in London, this is the place!

I have been going to Ciao Bella for over 10 years with a group of girlfriends. Food is amazing, atmosphere incredible and service friendly and effective. They have live piano music as well - probably not best acoustics as wine is stored on top of the piano but it all contributes to the charm of the place. The restaurant is... More

Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Meet fellow visitors, eat and drink with locals who frequent this popular restaurant. Great value £50 for two , three courses.

Got a table on the ground floor quite near the piano player. Extremely busy and very noisy but it added up to a good atmosphere. The food was traditional Italian but it was nowhere near the best I've tasted. Would return when back in London but mainly for the atmosphere and occasion.

Really lovely Italian. We were there for a business lunch, which was not ideal as the restaurant was quite noisy and we were in the middle of the room. I had booked a table which was good as it was busy, but if I went there again for a meeting I'd make sure to ask for a table to the... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
