Such an iconic name for a pub in an outstanding location but it is let down by some of the meals on offer - had the "honey and soy glazed salmon, served with wilted pak choi, edamame beans, tenderstem broccoli," very insubstantial for the price but other meals were better in terms of quality and quantity. The toilets on the second... More

Always pop in here when we're down this way! Such a lovely pub and always busy so was surprised we got a table for 4 of us on Saturday afternoon... lots of charm in this pub and atmosphere! Never eaten here but have drank! Highly recommend :)

The Dickens Inn, opened in 1976 by a grandson of Charles Dickens, is a reconstruction of an 18th century three storey balconied inn. The 120 ton timber shell, tailboards and ironwork were salvaged from an original 1700s wooden spice warehouse which stood nearby. There are three floors and you can eat in the Tavern Bar, the Grill or the Pizzeria.... More

Very attractive inn, seems all the more unusual due to its location. Ideal if weather is nice enough to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We dropped on for February it was a sunny day so a glass of lager to rest our legs for half an hour was much enjoyed. Usual frantic London pace so be prepared for... More

Having visited both the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge exhibit, it was time to relax with a drink and rest our aching feet. Having walked around St. Katherine's dock, longingly admiring the boats and yachts moored there, we ventured in to the Dickens Inn. Loads of flowers in baskets hanging outside, gave it an alpine hotel appearance. Very... More

The place is fantastic, the restaurant inside, especially the first and third floors, very welcoming and cosy, some of the views are terrific but the service was terrible, pretty slow and the business was not at its peak and mostly rude -leaving the things at the table with apathy; I asked for salt and after waiting a long while had... We always pop in for a drink whenever we are London but decided to have a meal in the top floor grill this weekend to celebrate a birthday. Had a couple of specific requests so emailed a week or so before and they couldn't have been more helpful (thank you Sam). The place isn't cheap but it's well worth a... More

For a bar that has such an amazing location, I just could not believe how awful the toilets were, the ladies had no toilet paper in any of the toilets, the soap dispenser was completely broken(the pieces all just sitting in the sink) the liquid soap that had been left in there to use was empty and they were very...
