Lovely pub very full but we were able to get a table. Brilliant menu and very friendly staff. We just needed a quick lunch, they have a pie menu which is very traditional along with a standard menu. All in all good food, nice setting and friendly staff.

Now a regular fixture on our London tours. A nice historic pub with friendly staff. Serves a very good pint of Guinness.

We dined here with friends who were visiting London and wanted to see some of the sights. A quaint old pub which they really liked. They had a good selection of ales, beers and wines. The menu is quite extensive and has something for everyone's taste. I went for the Hunter's chicken which proved to be very nice. A thoroughly... More

Lovely old pub on Fleet Street. Had a nice pint of Fullers in an unassuming but authentic ambiance. Not too busy or noisy, background music unobtrusive. Staff pleasant and range of beers and gins very good.

I had a lovely fish and chips lunch with a pint after visiting St. Paul's. The food was great and the staff were very helpful when I had questions about ordering. Some Italian ladies (non-English speakers) came in after me and the bar staff person was very patient in making sure they understood the menu and were able to order... More

Popped in for a drink to meet up with friends and ended up staying for 3 and half hours. A lively place at the Ludgate Circus end of Fleet Street. Plenty of beers to chose from and the complete range of wines and spirits. Limited seating as this is a fairly small public house. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Just down the street from the hotel we found this. It is in the same model as many other pubs, with its own personality. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed a pint in a pretty intimate little establishment. If you're in the area, recommend stopping in if you're thirsty.

"Accidently" came by this pub in the daytime. They have a large range of cask ales, this day there where a few from Jennings, but it changes all the time. It was a great atmosphere, and friendly staff, and ended coming back the day after. I did not eat there, but the food looks nice, but is a bit pricy.... More

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
