The welcome was warm and the place seemed popular when we arrived. Good selection of beers on draft and the Stella was cold and fresh. Prices were reasonable for the area. Decor was interesting and the room temperature comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient.

Having given up on busy pubs early Friday evening we headed for this quaint little pub with strong associations with Sir Christopher Wren. Next to St. Brides Church. Selection of real ales. Even got a table for 5.

We loved The Old Bell Tavern, very nice selection of ales. We ended up eating twice at the tavern because of the food. The pot pies were wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect.
