Great fish & chips and nice cold beer. What a fantastic treat after a long walk around London Town. Old fashioned English pub close to st Paul’s Cathedral.

We were walking along Fleet St looking for somewhere to eat lunch when The Old Bell Tavern caught our eye. Being lunch time during the week it was quite busy but we managed to get a table in a quiet corner. It had a good...More
Hello Kate. Thank you for taking the time and giving us rating. Could you please tell us what we could improve with service to make it even better? Appreciate your help. All at the Bell.
The welcome was warm and the place seemed popular when we arrived. Good selection of beers on draft and the Stella was cold and fresh. Prices were reasonable for the area. Decor was interesting and the room temperature comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient.
Many thanks for the positive review, it's always nice to hear that our guests enjoyed their time here. We all look forward to seeing you again so we can give an even better experience! Take care! Jamie
Having given up on busy pubs early Friday evening we headed for this quaint little pub with strong associations with Sir Christopher Wren. Next to St. Brides Church. Selection of real ales. Even got a table for 5.
Hi Jan. Thank you for your review. Always appreciated!
I work nearby and The Old Bell is by far our favourite pub in the area. We visit at least once a week. We always get a warm welcome. Sasha and Vicky work tirelessly and go above and beyond the call of duty. The food...More

Having been thwarted at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese to get a place to sit, we settled for the Old Bell. And we were not disappointed. This place serves real ales and they have 5 on tap. Very tasty. We sat in the front room with...More

This bar was recommended to us , great atmosphere, but the female member of staff working behind the bar ( 4.30 on 23 Sept ) was so unfriendly. We asked to sample a couple of beers , which she gave us begrudgingly, she couldn't care...More
Hello Viv, I really do apologise for the bad experience you had at the Old Bell. The level of service you received was nowhere near the standard we set here. Rest assured, we will be speaking to the member of staff that was on that...More
This pub was very friendly with good staff who instantly produced a gluten free menu. Others pubs visited did not seem interested and could not advise. Old pub with glass fronted image about to be updated but busy with business folks eating and drinking. Had...More

We loved The Old Bell Tavern, very nice selection of ales. We ended up eating twice at the tavern because of the food. The pot pies were wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect.

First visited two years ago when staying in the nearby Premier Inn. Good service from the friendly efficient barman, and very good ale (incidentally rather cheaper than the sister pub down the road, the Black Friar). Had the fish finger sandwich (fresh goujons) just like...More
