I went for my wedding anniversary and I spoke to the lady when booking that it's my wedding anniversary and if they can do a cake or something nice and she said yes we will arrange it , leave it to us. When we went , they didn't have anything arranged and I was quite surprised. Food was average considering... More

Lovely afternoon tea in half term holidays. Was delicious, good sandwich selection & attentive service. As it was over half term they had a short ballet show of sleeping beauty - what a lovely touch! Thoroughly lovely afternoon.

Being here for Champagne tea over the holidays was magical. Service was top notch! Warmth and professional so we felt extra special. Sandwiches and scones were perfectly prepared. Desserts were decadent. Place was packed so reservations are a must! A true dining experience. Dress code needs to be honoured, people come looking their afternoon tea best.

This is one of the best Afternoon Teas I've ever had! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here with a champagne afternoon tea. All of the food was incredible and each course comes out separately after you have had your fill of the previous course. They gave us a special cake to commemorate our anniversary, which we took home with... More

Went for my in laws birthday and had the most fantastic time, the service was amazing and the sandwiches delightful- we never felt rushed like we had at the Savoy and nothing was too much trouble. I can't wait to go again. Happy birthday over a live pianist is quiet spectacular.

The Dorchester Promenade is exquisite and very formal. We chose the traditional afternoon tea and were served an endless array of tea sandwiches and pastries which were delicious. They have a large selections of teas and they are served in beautiful china. The service was impeccable. It was our first time to enjoy an afternoon tea in London and were... More

Boxing Day brunch was booked months in advance, a treat for us after a stressful year. The Dorchester is a luxury Hotel and therefore you would expect the necessary trimmings , even for breakfast. We chose the traditional breakfast @ £ 34. Fair price BUT when the order was taken I asked what cereals they had and one of the... More

My family and I pre-booked the Dorchester for afternoon tea on Boxing Day and it was simply delightful. The hotels interior is beautiful and the promenade has a nice atmosphere. The food was delicious, they started off with sandwiches and then we got some scones and other sweets. We could ask for more after every "course". They even prepared everything... More

When I stay at the Dorchester I make it a point to always start my day with breakfast at the Promenade. My standard fare is either the Eggs Benedict or the Eggs Florentine (alternate between days for some change..). Their pastries are also very good with the Pain Au Chocolat and Croissants as well a must try!

This was our first Afternoon Tea experience and it was a memorable one. The Promenade has a luxurious festive feeling at this time of year with all the Christmas decorations. The gingerbread house kept us all entertained, while we waited for our table. We started off with a glass of champagne each and delicious sandwiches. My 10-year old son was... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
