L'autre pied is a favourite of mine, their lunch time menu is very good value for the quality of food. The bread cooked on the premises is delicious, the delicacy of presentation and depth of flavour of the food is exquisite. Wine by the glass is good value, service by mainly French staff excellent. One of my favourites in London.... More

I came with a friend for dinner on a quiet Wednesday evening. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table by the window. Very nice surroundings and a lovely atmosphere which encourages chatting, which was exactly what we needed! We indulged in a seven course tasting menu, all of which was absolutely delicious. The selection of wines were good... More

This restaurant has a good range of food and drinks so should accommodate most tastes. It is top end quality and fine dining

We went there for lunch and then returned for dinner in order to see if things were any better. No in fact things were worse. For the prices being paid here I find it a little suprising that there is no table cloth and they make such a big thing about having linen napkins...but the linen napkin were shockingly badly... I have to say I’m completely flummoxed by your review. I just don’t understand or believe you. You fail to mention a single dish that was not to your taste and take time to suggest people go elsewhere. I think this review is highly suspicious. Who has a disappointing meal and then goes back the same day to try again... More

I had an excellent dinner here. Because I was going to a concert, I had only a main course and cheese. Both were so excellent that I resolved to return on an occasion when I will have time for a longer meal. I was warmly welcomed, and the service was as excellent as the food. I particularly appreciated being well-treated... More

There isn't really anything bad I can say about this restaurant. Excellent service, beautiful food (although the matcha tea tart with salted peanut ice cream was just a step too far for me - they made me something else when they saw my left portion almost untouched!). It's busy and there is a nice buzz. The only thing I didn't... More

Thank you for your feedback. Some people quite like the busyness of the table layout but if you prefer a quieter experience, request one of the tables at the back with the banquettes. Hope to see you again soon, David More

We went to this restaurant with a 50% discount voucher and to have a 7 dishes Michelin star meal for Saturday lunch for 31£ is great value for money. The food was not perfect in all dishes but generally it was a very nice experience in a great restaurant

We were surprised that we could wear trainers in the restaurant. We bought the 7 course tasting menu via Groupon. The food was very nice. The staff were very friendly and explained every course.

First visit to L'Autre Pied to celebrate son's wedding. It's a well-located restaurant just off Marylebone High Street. We had pre-booked a "Taster" menu as we were a group of 14. Food was beautifully presented and the service was excellent. It isn't cheap. Portion sizes are not huge. And the tables are relatively close together. But this is highly professional... More

Thank you - I'm very glad you chose us for the wedding celebration. Maybe you could return for lunch which isn't a small portion at £14.50...? See you soon we hope. David More

We attended this restaurant on a weekday which perhaps explains why it was not overly busy but nevertheless had a nice buzz about it. We enjoyed the 7 course taster menu which was delightful, and of a standard commensurate with the ratings of this restaurant. My favourite was the braised venison, which although small in portion was delicious. The service... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
