I have worked on Chancery Lane for 18 years and this is the first time I have been!! what a missed opportunity. We were a party of 4 for my daughters's 25th birthday. Food was excellent and the wine equally so. Apparently they have over 90 different Malbec wines to choose from. Clearly the main reason you go is for... More

We chose this place as we were looking for somewhere that accepted reservations and accepted children since we had our baby in push chair asleep... The booking was done early. We arrived and table was ready. The place is nice and the atmosphere good and spacious. The service was also very good from the manager to the waitresses. The starters... More

We went to Gaucho to celebrate my birthday. We order provoletta as starter, chorizo and fillet. The meat was amazing just as we like. The table hosts and the people who attend us were so kind and they give us the best service ever. They made felt us as we were at Argentina, they explained the different cuts of the... More

Our confirmed reservation was for 8.15. We were finally given a table at 9pm after requesting to be seated three times, with no meaningful apology for the delay. The bill arrived at the end of our meal with no concession made for the extreme inconvenience suffered - it included the drinks we'd had at the bar (just one each) whilst... More

We had the pleasure of discovering this location after being transferred from the Picaadilly site, another gem of a Gaucho's first class service from all, amazing steak and the pleasure of meeting Malvin operations chief who was a true first class host, as regular diners at Gauchos he managed to ensure this truly was one of the most delightful experciences... I was really disappointed with my meal here, such a contrast between courses. Fantastic starters, poor main event. + empanadas were brilliant. Great pastry and fillings were packed with flavour. + loved the homemade sausage (mixed). Casings fell apart, meaty & juicy with great flavours. + kept the red wine topped. - 400g rump was not cooked to request. I... More

The best steak I have ever eaten, plus interesting starters and sides. The staff were helpful and quick to serve when needed but did not hover when they weren't. We were there from 1.45pm until 7.30 pm and they never showed any signs of wanting to get rid of us for the evening serving, we could have stayed longer! Big... More

Incredibly we ate here the night after a visit to Gordon Ramsey Maze in Grosvenor Square so were able to make a direct comparison Steak for Steak! ... Gaucho wins! We started by taking some drinks in the upstairs bar, which was relaxed and unrushed, not like the Maze technique of moving you through at their pace / not yours.... More

Visited Guacho with colleagues for a pre Christmas lunch. Great atmosphere and excellent steaks. Busy but did not spoil experience, staff attentive and welcoming.
