I went there for afternoon tea because the menu was very apealling. However, I was puzzled when we were given a tiny plate, smaller than a saucer. When the tea and food arrived I realised why. The offering was fit for a doll's house. There...More

This used to be my favourite for coffee and breakfast. There was lovely wood panelling and wooden tables and benches and a really great atmosphere of calm. They have taken all the wood out and put in modern stuff which could be any cafe anywhere...More

I used to love breakfast in here. It's had a refurb, the team is not so friendly, it isn't as cosy as it used to be & the food wasn't so good. I visited with some Irish friends & it wasn't a great experience. I...More

The recent 'improvements' are regrettable. With plastic coffee cups, stale salads that nobody wants and the general ambience worse than a provincial railway cafe, it has become no go area.

I took two friends to this venue (not to be confused with the NG's main restaurant) and was appalled by the service. To have queried the automatic service charge of 12.5% would have delayed my friends -- otherwise I would have flatly refused to pay....More

A beautiful place it was until some corporate people got their hands on this formally brilliant space. Now drab and sad looking. More like a cheap patrol station cafe. How could the national theatre allow this? Grey carpet and fake art! This is the national...More

Let's first be clear what this review is about. This 'cafe' is not the National Dining Rooms in the National Gallery's Sainsbury Wing, nor is it the National Portrait Gallery Restaurant & Cafe (almost next door). It is a very busy museum cafe during the...More

Had to keep getting up to ask for forgotten things. Got the wrong order. Had to ask for a napkin. Ask for a knive to have with scone. Latte was mostly froth and cold. The person who made the drinks just shrugged his shoulders when...More

With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized
lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is
not just considered the heart of this bustling London
hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this
esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as
well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most
popular cultural attractions including the National
Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to
