A disaster... The food was good, but the plates were cold so the food was cold before they finished serving! The waiter wasn't interested, in fact we think he left! A very poor experience, and would not recommend it at all...

I thought the cafe offering lunches would be of the same quality as the next door restaurant ! Greatly disappointed with the overall experience . I ordered the chicken Milanese which was overlooked and dry !! Very poor service and a bad experience overall !...More

Discovered this place while getting my jacket let out at tailors down the road!! In quiet Kensington neighborhood. They have a nice cafe, with great coffee, eggs etc for breakfast. Booked the restaurant next door for dinner. Friendly service, good food. Authentic Italian. will return

It is important to distinguish between the cafe and the restaurant next door. The restaurant was still busy when we left. We visited the cafe for a light meal. There were a few other people in when we arrived but it was not busy on...More

My boyfriend and I found this tucked-away restaurant and were able to walk-in without a reservation. We were not disappointed. Having just been in Italy, the food was truly authentic. I had the truffle pasta (amazing) and he had the cheese risotto which they bring...More

One of the best steaks I have tasted, with the salt and balsamic vinegar bringing taste to life. The risotto is also a fantastic dish and I highly recommend both of these dishes. This restaurant is good for groups but also for 2 and best...More

Description
The owners of Locanda Ottoemezzo Italian restaurant in Londons Kensington, just a few moments walk from the High Street, are film aficionados extraordinaire. In particular, their admiration of Federico Fellinis masterpiece 8 has inspired them to name their delight restaurant after it and to decorate the interior with 8 1/2 themed details. The general vibe of this charming and accomplished neighbourhood restaurant is vibrant and warm and full of colour with collectors details like rare LPs, books, instruments and a precious 1963 poster of the film. Yet theres nothing gimmicky about Locanda Ottoemezzo. Food, service, quality and style are the focus here and you can always expect a delightful dining experience. The perfect house risotto is always on the menu here served with a theatrical flourish from a rind of parmesan. Locanda Ottoemezzos fillet of beef in salt crust with aromatic thyme, rosemary and red wine served with wild mushrooms is a favourite, too. Wines and service are exemplary.
