An extremely small restaurant that has surprisingly fantastic food. Probably the best halibut I have ever had in either the U.S. Or Europe. And very moderately priced. Easily overlooked but a real gem to go to.

Well prepared and tasty food. Only complaint was lack of choice. Was a set menu with somewhat limited choice. Approx 4 options per course. Not sure if this is the case all the time.

Excellent Italian restaurant with professional service and good food. We liked the varied menu with its nice pasta dishes, starters and dessert. Not to pricey. Interesting choice of sixties rock and roll and Italian film memorabilia. Liked it and will go back.

2006-2016, we went to this restaurant 3 times a month. The only dish they can do well is Risotto, but that is so good that it was enough. Service was great, a young non-Italian waiter made us feel that this place was really our local...More

The food was definitely good... especially their pizza choices. The staff were friendly as well. But we left with the feeling that it was overpriced (even though we knew the prices before we went in).

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

Description
The owners of Locanda Ottoemezzo Italian restaurant in Londons Kensington, just a few moments walk from the High Street, are film aficionados extraordinaire. In particular, their admiration of Federico Fellinis masterpiece 8 has inspired them to name their delight restaurant after it and to decorate the interior with 8 1/2 themed details. The general vibe of this charming and accomplished neighbourhood restaurant is vibrant and warm and full of colour with collectors details like rare LPs, books, instruments and a precious 1963 poster of the film. Yet theres nothing gimmicky about Locanda Ottoemezzo. Food, service, quality and style are the focus here and you can always expect a delightful dining experience. The perfect house risotto is always on the menu here served with a theatrical flourish from a rind of parmesan. Locanda Ottoemezzos fillet of beef in salt crust with aromatic thyme, rosemary and red wine served with wild mushrooms is a favourite, too. Wines and service are exemplary.
