We had a great lunch as a family. The food was very good, and our waiter Dean was excellent. Nice atmosphere and would definitely go back.

This is one of the older pubs in London with rich literary history. It was frequented by Charles Dickens. Went there for the Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. There were jesters, bards, and songs. It was really busy but worth the trip. Highly...More

This pub has a great atmosphere and an excellent range of drinks , but the food is awful. We ordered the chicken burger and it arrived burnt to a crisp, it was more like a chicken nugget in a bun and the chips were cold....More

Beer, pie and chips. The pie was surprisingly nice and washed down with a couple of pints of beer wasn't bad at all. It's pub grub but a cut above the usual. It's not cheap, but could be worse in London...More

This is certainly the 'site of' the original coaching inn but the current building was not built until later, following a major fire in the area. It is certainly worth a visit and a drink, though the food is only ok.
