The atmosphere was acceptable - a nice vibe - but other than that, it was a disgusting experience. We tried a few of the wines by the glass and they were all undrinkable. Ordered 4 tapas (Patatas bravas, Artichokes, Fabada and Squid) The Squid and the Artichokes were severely overcooked and flavourless. The beans were disgusting. It's hard to mess... More

Delightful restaurant spoiled by the presence of loud mouthed drunks in the bar area. Delicious food and wine lovely staff fair prices.

Food, atmosphere and space were all good. The manager/owner took care of us since we were there for a good 2.5-3 hours eating, drinking and talking. We ordered a lot of food, the paella valencia is good and so are the octopus, gambas, sardines and their sangria.

The food was okay but nothing special. The service was patchy. And the bill came to quite a lot more than expected.

Visiting in a hurry on our way to an entertainment venue, stopped off at Goyo and they immediately made a table for two available. Service, offering of menu and drinks, was immediate. A fair choice of Rose's by the glass but had to try a couple before one hit the spot! Good choice of food, swiftly and freshly presented. 5... More

I hear Goya is judged as a good standard of Spanish food in London. However by Sydney standards, where I am from, I doubt they would manage to stay open for long. The squid was surprisingly good, everything else I would rate as average at best particularly the paella, which disappoints after a 45+ minute wait. Having to repeat the... More

Goya has been going for years. Tucked on the corner of Lupus Street, the ground floor bar is small and popular where you can enjoy drinks and tapas. Downstairs the restaurant is excellent. Whilst a little more expensive than other locals, it offers great value with a wide range of specialities. Of course tapas make wonderful starters ,and the four... More

A small spanish tapas bar, the downstairs area is atmospheric and feels like a small taste of Spain removed into Central London. The food is not especially pushing boundaries, rather its wholesome and unassuming, giving some of the best ingredients and dishes of Spain an amicable platform.

I love eating at Goya. The staff a friendly and genuinely Spanish. The food is well prepared, tastes excellent. And on most evenings there is a good atmosphere created by a wide range of clientele. If the tables are busy, then I prefer to eat at the bar rather than in the basement.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
