On our way back to Paddington and spotted this pub so popped in for a cheeky drink. Really friendly staff. Glass was a bit smelly but won't put me off going again

this is a typical London pub, the staff and patrons were all very friendly and the beer was good. I loved some of the décor inside, the tiles on the walls near the door especially.

Typical London pub serving a great range of beers on tap including Harveys of Lewes. Congenial atmosphere, some food and good service.

Atmosphere great. Small; intimate place just off Marble Arch and Edgware Rd. Wanted a place to go to escape the noise and bustle of redevelopment in the area. Didn't bother eating here - internet was down but will return for better luck next time....not enough ales though.

A good selection of beer and space outside to stand and drink. An older style pub. Wooden floors and exposed beams etc.

Friendly little pub with a good location off the Castle. Usual pub food but good and clean. Little crooked house in front was neat.

Just out for an evening stroll whilst staying at the Travelodge up the road when we chanced upon The Carpenters Arms. Heard someone singing - poked our heads round the door to find an excellent vocalist accompanied by a talented keyboard player. Decided to stay & listen for a bit and ended up whiling away a great couple of hours.... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
