If I have a drink in Leicester it will often be in the Orange Tree. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and a decent selection of drinks. This includes a fair choice cocktails although it does lack a variety of ales. It seems to attract...More

Hi Billy, Thank you for the review, i'm greatly embarrassed by the photos you have shared of the gents toilets here at the Orange tree. We've very recently undergone a change in cleaning company and over the weekend discovered ourselves that standards have slipped significantly....More

Ordered the polish sausage sandwich no ciabatta or sauerkraut, very underwhelming when asked why the sandwich was so poor and unfilled a member of staff said the sausage was too expensive to add any more.. At around £6-7 mark I thought this was very poor...More

Hi Amyjayne1992, I am sorry to hear that your experience with us was underwhelming. During busy periods, we do sometimes run out of stock, being a Bank Holiday, our deliveries haven't come either. While we always do our best to ensure there is plenty, sometimes...More

Description
Friends, Ben and Pugsy got let down at the last minute and failed to open a Bar in Goa. Still passionate about opening a bar after getting over the disappointment they went for something closer to home. Leicester - In 1997 it was a vibrant town where they both lived, and they thought they could create something that was ideal for the city and our all their mates. They took the first pub they saw, which was really run down and on a deserted end of the high st.Although the Haunch of Vension was it's traditional name, they felt it didn't quite fit with vision so after a few days in the records office (no internet then!) They found a pub called the orange tree that used to be just 100 yards away from this site. Both the name and the building worked perfectly as they filled it with vinyl, beers and friends, bright colours and old sofas.
