I live in the village and eat in the Plough regularly - have done for some years. I have never had a poor meal. However, 4 of us had chop suey off the Specials board yesterday - superb. Plenty of it, very hot Highly recommended.

Having read some of the recent reviews on this medium I found myself suffering a degree of mirth. There are some who think that everyone should enjoy their dog and some perhaps think that everyone should enjoy someone else's children. Some are not keen on the mircrowave and some who misconstrue the Staff's banter as rudeness. Having visited this establishment... More

Situated beautiful area , amazing pub building and wooden furnishings. After finding online where to take our little old Yorkie pet to lunch with us, we travelled out 40 miles to FY3 0BX what we witnessed was 1 villager man at the bar with his beer and the look we got from him was we were wrong to bring a... The Christmas meal was good value in every way. The flavour of the festive food was impressive. Very hot and tasty. The service was courteous and friendly. Could not fault it in any way.

Been many times recently over the last month as moved into the village and it would be rude not to go visit the local pub! Each time we have eaten there the food has been good and the prices are spot on. Most expensive meal is 9.99 and it's a mixed grill and you get a plate full. There's always... More

What looks like it should be a welcoming friendly village pub is anything but. On speaking with the locals it appears the problem is one of the two landlords . We mistook this landlord for the village drunk. For most of our visit he stood at the bar drinking and verbally abused customers as the came in making all sorts... More

For the price you pay, Sunday lunch is very average. Frozen vegetables. Surely they can push the boat out and serve fresh food!

We went for a family occasion and so there were quite a few of us! I'd never been before so didn't know what to expect. The service was excellent and the staff were very nice, polite and friendly but the one thing that really made my day was the food! I had the lasagne which was amazing, full of flavour... More
