Trip advisor recommended The Highlands Pub which wasn't far from where I was staying. So glad I went. We had a 3 course meal for £14.95 and it was delicious. Staff friendly and service great. Highly recommend it especially to those staying nearby in the Norbreck Castle who are looking for a good meal. Only a few stops on the... More

Friendly staff, a really nice menu, child friendly and showing all the sports you could wish for. Good selection of beers and reasonable wines.

Really friendly pub , we ate there's so food was ok but some parts really greasy, downside was your chef was seen in toilet twice by members of our party and he didn't wash his hands not great for hygiene . Bar staff great and the kareoke was good .

Had a fabulous 3 course meal at the Hylands pub again yesterday even though they were very busy as it was mothers day it didn't effect the beautifully presented food or the attentive service!! I have to give 11 out of 10 and the value was really good we will definitely be going back

We would have had a dessert but regretfully only a chocolate or sticky toffee pudding was on... More

Naomi is very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and she is dementia friendly. Food is homemade, very tasty and value for money. Great family friendly and dog friendly too.

Very few pubs where you'd want to take young teeenagers have a pool table so this was a good find. V friendly staff. Felt sorry for them as it was quiet and they seem to be trying to make a go of it. Only issue was the regular smokers leaving the door open all the time so it was freezing!

Great home cooked food at a family, dog friendly local. Food is always piping hot and fresh, no microwave meals here. Value for money reasonable bar prices. Staff and owners are always friendly. Keep up the good work!

Our 1st time in this friendly pub but it certainly won't be the last. Waitress service at your table (none of that go to the bar with your order rubbish. Lovely menu with a few slightly unusual items plus a blackboard full of Chef's specials. The meat vegetables and fish are all supplied by local traders. Nice atmosphere and friendly... More
